I like both unfolding techniques. Albeit Dean!Michael having an impressive initial presentation, and his wide range may give him an illusion of having an advantage in the size area. I believe Castiel is the one who has both, thickness and large combined,  besides a clearer advantage of an advanced expertise in their use.
