Its ok :( not the best but not friggin horrible. The art leaves a lot to be desired though, IMO.
I saw some screencaps. I'm curious, how old is Damian supossed to be there? Man he's beefy are those arms normal (but he looks cute in some too); anyways just "not friggin horrible" is better than I expected so I'm happy

when or if I started shipping it: I honestly don’t really know? I think it was a slow development. It still isn’t really in my top five (apparently. Even though I really like it). I dunno, my love of foils getting it on kicked in eventually or something.
my thoughts: Okay, I could go on and on about their beautifully done foil-ness (like, one of the best I’ve seen in a long while ohmygod), but I think I’m going to try my best to narrow it down. OKAY. One of the biggest differences (that relates to my shipping them) is their friendships. Eren who had his friends since he was a little (murderous and survey obsessed) kid; but he was still intent on not joining the survey corps despite his loving friends and family. On the other hand, from what I can tell, Jean never really had friends (or family seeing as his hometown was destroyed but didn’t seem to care much about that) still wanted to just keep on living as is despite any real reason to do so. But then Jean meets Marco, and although the title of “friends” might be a bit of a stretch in canon, I’d call them more… “unspoken friends of the closest variety”, but as soon as he dies, well, look what’s happened. And in the anime, there’s that scene where they basically flip roles. (You know, that scene where Jean sobs on Marco’s name and tells Eren to get the fuck up before running off to fight pretty darn recklessly). In otherwords: Marco basically brings them together. Marco allows Jean to find common ground with Eren. Losing someone he cared about allows Jean to understand (and partly admire notthathe’deveradmitit) Eren. (Hanging around Eren isn’t “creepy” anymore apparently— even though Eren’s kind of a titan now and that should be just another reason to hate him) And without Jean being a big assbutt, Eren can appreciate Jean’s company or something idk, my opinions are Jean-centric. (oops that got out of hand) Of course Armin’s another good bridge for Jean to get to Eren too. … Which is kind of a bad way to put it oh well.
What makes me happy about them: They have a very complex relationship of ups and downs with so much potential drama (but in a good taste inmyopinon). I mean, I haven’t even really touched the surface for what I think about them.
What makes me sad about them: Umm. I hate to get all JeanMarco in this, but my headcannon is, not only that Marco’s death brings them together, but that Jean sometimes can’t really get Marco off his mind. And whether-or-not Jean was ever sexually attracted to Marco (but my preference for that is obvious)— well… I don’t think I have to really get into how REALLY SAD THAT IS/COULD BE.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I… actually haven’t read any ErenJean fic.
Things I look for in fanfic: ………Jeanbeingdominatedoops. Well, other than the usual: healing, slow build, PEOPLE BEING IN CHARACTER.
My kinks: Hatesexhatesex. Jeancryingduringsex. Jeaninemmotionalguiltypain. I can see them trying to be kinky other than the rough style— but it not really coming out the way they’d want it. (I dunno, I haven’t really thought of them doing it that much). I imagine Eren being somewhat of a masochist, but like, Jean’s not very good at hurting him. (Mostly because he’s not really into it— but also because he’s just a failbutt).
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: …. Levi. Both of them. (I mean, if Marco stays dead and all) Bertl’s a good option for Jean too. You know. If I want Jean in more pain or something.
My happily ever after for them: Neither of them dying is a good start. Them actually having a working relationship would be the second.
003:: MARCO BODT
How I feel about this character: OKAY, so Marco is just one of those perfect characters that I can’t help but to admire. Like, those perfect best friend characters that I really wish I could have/be. Marco is smart and tactful when dealing with people. He’s not pushy, but he’s encouraging. He’s realistic, but positively so (as Jean is realistically pessimistic as all-hell). Marco’s observent and knows how to act in social situations, something that also carries into his innate leading ability that everyone in his class came to realize and respect. But the most admirable quality about him is his ability to take a person’s biggest flaw, and build it up to something positive. This kid wasn’t around for long, but the impression he left is just as inspiring for the fandom as much as it was for Jean. I just… really love Marco.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Jean (obvs), and…. … … … Annie. I could probably ship him with anyone though because he just has that kind of personality that works well with others. I’ve seen Marco and Bertl and that’s pretty hot.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: … Uhhh… he could be no-romantically involved with Jean? Does that count? (cough)
My unpopular opinion about this character: I like the idea that Marco has a really good undrstanding for how to act in romantic situations as well as friendly ones. I’m not too sure where he got this knowledge from, but I figure being sixteen with a great personality (despite plain appearance) would have given him some sort of experience here and there. (Nothing serious— I mean, he’d probably still be a virgin and all). But I just really like the idea that he remains cool-headed even under the pressures of ~romance~ and kissing and such. Which works well with Jean because that loser would freak out a lot. Too a point, Marco knows how to calm him down, knows what’s too much/too fast, and can probably easily get what he wants if he felt like manipulating a situation. Marco’s a sly dog.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Surprisingly, I actually like that Marco died (he died for a pretty darn good reason— more than one actually), and that’s why him living, isn’t going to be what I’m going to talk about. AND HERE, is where I’m going to talk about that Marco and Annie business. OKAY. So, we all know that Annie took Marco’s 3D maneuver gear sometime after he died and before Jean found his body. Now, instead of talking about the implications of murder, instead, I’m going to talk about why Marco. Annie had the opportunity to steal anyone’s 3D maneuver gear. Sure the idea that someone would recognize it would have been very, very small (goddammitArmin), but even still, why even take the chance? She was dealing with plenty of bodies. So unless she took it as a trophy (a very serial killer thing to do— and kind of unlikely since she seemed very apologetic and damaged after the whole Trost thing). Maybe it was to keep part of Marco with her (Much like Jean has done)? After all, when wall Maria went down, she never really knew anyone that died then. But Marco? That’s new. And she did feel very, very responsible all of a sudden (despite this being her second time doing this). And so whether or not she killed him (of which she would have needed a reason to other than to get his gear) there was still something special about him. AND SO I wished the squad Marco was leading at the time of his death included Annie in it. I would have loved something to happen between them at any point in time to show that maybe Marco was the kind of human that would give Annie second thoughts. Sure Marco’s the kind of guy to go ‘with the flow’ instead of against it. But maybe there’s still something about him.Or alternatively: Marco died in an attempt to save Annie. Not that Annie isn’t just better than him and didn’t need to be saved. But Marco wouldn’t have known better, and it’s also kind of his personality to go out of his way to draw titans towards him. Maybe Annie failed to kill (on purpose or not) the titan before it got to Marco. Obviously Marco wasn’t completely devoured. So clearly someone made the titan STOP halfway through. I just want that person to be Annie
