Dear Skye, Self love is the greatest love.
Still an Ace On My Sick Days
Dear Skye, I don't believe I formally introduced myself. I'm Acecily, but please, call me "Ace". :) Someone once told me to live up to the name "Ace" I have to be the best. The Ace is the highest playing card--there's nothing better. I mean, every girl should naturally think she's the best but a cool nickname helped me out a little bit. I don't always feel like the best when I'm sad, lonely, or when my dream dress doesn't fit. Whenever I feel those things I think about every great thing I have in my life. Like: I lived to see another day. I have a roof over my head. I can write and read this post. My smile. :) Thinking about the positive aspects of my life makes me grateful for what I have and helps me forget about what I lack. Good thoughts bring good things. Life is what you make it. Might as well make it good! Being yourself is a full-time job so I think of it this way: I'm still an Ace on my sick days. Stay strong, Ace
Roll the Dice
Dear Skye, I'm the type of girl who finds a message in every little thing I can, whether it's my favorite song or guilty pleasure reality tv series. Lately I've been on a Grey's Anatomy kick. Since the first episode in 2005, I've been a fan. I watched an old episode on iTunes a few days ago where a patient and his family had to choose between a risky surgery or to live the rest of his life in pain. After being explained the consequences he said, "I'll roll the dice." I know I will have to take chances. It can be scary. It can be difficult. It's hard to know what life will bring, but the decisions I make are a part of the journey. Don't be afraid of an adventure and don't be afraid of the help you'll get along the way.
We want you to hear clearly that beauty is the essence every woman carries from the moment of her creation. The only things standing in the way of our beauty are our doubts and fears and the hiding and striving we fall to as a result.

Always be true to yourself.
Dear Skye,
Always be true to yourself. I know that sounds like a cliché, but it's the best advice I can give you! It's not the cool thing to do, but standing out always makes a better impression than fitting in. I have been blessed to have a group of friends for 12+ years. We have very different tastes in boys, music, clothes and more, but if we agreed on everything we'd all be very boring! It's nice to have friends with different interests because it gives you a chance to explore and learn new things! Sometimes you may fight or you think your friends are doing the wrong thing in their lives, but all you can do is be there for each other. Let your friends know that you'll be there for them even if you don't see eye to eye. Always be true to yourself and respect your friends for being true to themselves! :)
Get involved, enjoy yourself and forget the drama!
Dear Skye,
Hello! My name is Theresa and I am a recent graduate from Capital University. High school was fun, but boy were there tough times! Drama seems like it always finds a way sneak up on you. I will say though that it all gets better! Being involved with different organizations and sports and dance helped me out a lot while in high school and I had fun doing them! One thing I loved the most about high school were the dances. I missed out on one of my winter balls and wish I could go back in time and go. Remember to get involved, enjoy your time and forget the drama!
With love,
Theresa
