Love polls, so I wanted to finally test those on a post. And what better topic than our beloved Elves of course! Really looking forward to the results of this one. 🙂
i made this some time ago and then just forgot about it
The Eredin's dagger 🗡️
Every soldier Dearg Ruadhri always wears one.👌
Eredin: We attack at dawn.
Imlerith: Why dawn?
Eredin: Tradition. You do shoot-outs at high noon, you stretch in the seventh inning, and you attack at dawn.
Caranthir: You also get executed at dawn.
Eredin: Thank you, Caranthir, for that bit of optimism.
.
someones late to the party:)

I have been working on this fanvideo for a while now, I am happy to finally share it, happy to have finished it at last.
I've recently read the Witcher books and found myself intrigued by the dynamics between Eredin and Ciri, which unfortunately were not explored enough in the game as they barely even had one encounter. Yet in that one encounter there seemed to be place for a lot more, a battle, a dialogue maybe, so I couldn't help but think what might've happened if.... I know the games aren't sequels to the books, but based on them, an alternate version/interpretation of the same universe and in all truth I'm glad that they're not considered sequels. It makes a lot more sense this way, at least to me.
So I thought about this song, and I thought about a story. Here is a small part of the story, I will soon post a link to the longer version. -----|------|----- He was neither a monster, nor a human. He was not just the King of the Wild Hunt. He was not just the elf she was attracted to. He was both. The cruel, ruthless king, and the mysterious yet charismatic individual were one and the same. She had known it the entire time, but she had denied it. She had denied it…to what end? For she could not change the truth of her feelings or of who he was. And she knew that either way, there was more to him than met the eye. More than he spoke, more than he showed, even. In the end, she knew he’d always be by her side. And she’d be by his. Through time and ice, travelers, phantoms… Is there such thing as frozen love? -----|------|-----
As individuals, I found them to be both complex, strong and interesting characters, characters I'd definitely read an entire book series about or play several games about. I also think a relationship between them would have an intriguing dynamic, as they are the kind of opposites that might go well together, one way or another--which is one of the things I tried showing in this fanvid
I'd also like to say that October 2018 will mark my 8th year of video editing, so I believe I can call this my "anniversary video", especially since it has been, by far, the hardest video I have ever worked on. Which is one of the reasons why I enjoyed every moment I spent working on it.
I would appreciate opinions, advice, suggestions, and any constructive criticism you may have. I believe there is always more improvement to be done, always more to learn :) Of course, thank you for watching the video and, assuming you’re seeing this, for reading the description.
------------- However, as there was a lot of modding involved in this video, I would like to thank: Erxv - for his patience, his advice, and teachings. Rmemr - for sharing his great tools for Witcher 3 scene creation and for his advice Briarbird - for her patience and for her teachings. ParKan11 - for creating the wonderful Geralt Doppler mod Elainezireael - for her opinions and advice --- Thanks also to CD Projekt RED, for creating a great, immersing game franchise with beautiful graphics, complex characters and story. Last but not least, thanks to the band Nightwish, for the unique cover of this song and their wonderful music that inspired me time and time again.
