I am so happy the Amazing Devil fandom is waking up from our involuntary slumber, so many beautiful things happening to Dear Hearts all over the world, some lucky enough to meet Madeleine and Joey irl, the book, the album coming, the photo opportunities. The world is healing.

(I will soon be lucky enough to have the book too!)

Calling all Dearhearts!

Hello loves!

I’ve been thinking on this- we are few and far between, but would anyone be interested in a Secret Santa (Undisclosed Devil?) kind of thing this year? There are so many artists among us- be it digital arts of all kinds, fiber arts, writers, visual and performative arts, bakers, or what have you- that I thought it might be fun!

I don’t have all the details hammered out, this is more to gauge interest in the idea and when folks would like to do it, but here’s what I have so far:

I would collect some basic info for whoever is interested in participating:

1. Their preferred method of creating art

2. The name they would like to go by for the event

3. Their favorite TAD song (songs? Maybe up to 3?).

4. Top favorite colors

5. Their country of origin (that way I can try to arrange secret people to be in the same countries at least to mitigate shipping costs!)

Everyone involved would have to be okay with their secret person, and possibly me, eventually learning a mailing address that works for you, but only if your secret person makes a physical thing that would be sent by mail (unlike a video or piece of digital writing or whatever other art forms that may entail).

Not sure when would be the best time of year to do this kind of thing- I know December is traditional, but if people would be interested in doing a mid-year event I would certainly be down for that!(I’m not sure how common “Christmas in July” is anywhere else, but where I’m from we do small gift giving events midway through the year.)

But yeah! Anyone interested? And if you have friends not on tumblr who would be interested, please spread the word! We can chat on discord to arrange things further if there’s enough interest!

I’ll tag some other artists I know of in a reblog, please feel free to ignore or spread the word!

Hello my dearest Hearts, 

don’t think I abandoned you!! I think about you and everyday. And I still love you. I just spend a lot of time on university, my flatmates (who are also two of  my best friends) and the lake where I live. I’m really looking forward to the times where I have more time to talk to all of you. I just feel really bad because I just can’t find the time to be online as much as I want.

So I met Joey Batey. He was very nervous and also in a lot of pain, but he was totally charming, funny and so delighted to see us that I was officially Heart Warmed

I recently taught myself to lino print, and I'd made a few prints to hand out to otherdearhearts (everyone was so nice). My own one was tucked into the front cover of the book, I was hoping he'd see it when signing. What I was not expecting was for him to go "oh my god, that's so cool. Can I have one?"

So I might have peaked at lino printing and also life, a little bit.

Also the book is whack, would highly recommend
