🎩 @dearmaestro liked the New Mutuals Starter Call 🖤
“C’mon Mom! It went this way!”
“Melody- Don’t run ahead, we need to get this before we go exploring!” The researcher calls out, glancing between where her daughter had called out and the custom part in her hand. Sure shopping wasn’t the most entertaining thing, especially for a spirit Melody’s age, but it wasn’t like her to run off talking about bright-colored cryptids. Let alone run off without waiting for her, especially when it came to something potentially supernatural.
There’s a small sigh from Chamyle as she tells the clerk that she’ll be back and gives an apology. After that, she’s headed in the direction that the spirit-possessed android ran off in.
The trail ends at a building that seemed to be tucked away and not on the city map. That gains some pause; she knew this city like the back of her hand by now after all. It was only logical to consider what things could be, before disregarding it without a care in the world in favor of continuing the search for her child. “I swear if she was led into a trap...”
Another call of Melody’s name as she walks in. Silence.
A small frown as the empty human takes her glasses off, cleaning them off and pinching the bridge of her nose as she continued. It’s not until she puts her glasses back on that she takes notice of it, that feeling of not being alone.
“I take it that things are about to get much more complicated?”
While it could be taken as a comment to herself; a rhetorical question. It certainly wasn’t one meant for her.
No.
It was meant for Him.
