Who cares if Amelia has turned into a Mary Sue. Main male characters are essentially the same anyway but they're never criticized. Keep writing because I always look forward to your posts, mary sue characters or not, gives me something to look forward to every day!
That's an excellent point! It just clicked with me that we tend to fall in love with male characters without reason or cause except they were good looking. However, I do fall in love with male characters who are genuinely romantic and kind and some badass flaws are pretty cool too.
