Hm...Well. The precursor to the actual afterlife is probably extremely painful, depending on which of your organs shut down in what order. 

The afterlife is probably terribly dark and lonely. Vast and empty, too. Unless you've gotten a bad hand in life, in which case it might be full in the worst way possible.
