Since Rayman Legends Retold was announced to come out, a bunch of very nice memories of my childhood started popping out.
I got into Rayman's fandom primarily through Rayman Origins, and later through Legends & Adventures. Eventually, I also discovered the appeal (and lore) of the older games from this franchise.
But as I hinted before, Origins was the very first Rayman game I played, so naturally, I have the most memories of it. And one memory in particular led me to the redesigns I'm going to show you today: you can already see, I'm talking about the Origins nymphs/fairies.
Still not sure whether I should call them nymphs or fairies, though - Wiki calls them "nymphs", while their appearance + the last one's name clearly shows they're fairies. Whatever, not important...
What IS important are their designs. I thought it'd be fun to try and imagine how I'd draw them if I was on the developer's team. There are aspects about their in-game designs that I like, some that I'm still not a big fan of, so I went with my own vision in these fun redesigns.
