The new guy in town who moved with his villa- I mean, fashionable parents to the same neighborhood Gru’s family live shortly after the events of DM3 and as an adult becomes a moth-themed thief.
Let me introduce: Félix le Mal!

Some facts:
He’s ambidextrous.
He was born with congenital amputation (a part of his left leg is gone).
He’s an only child.
He’s near-sighted like both of his parents.
His wavy hair is a recessive gene.
As an adult, he’s shorter than Valentina but still taller than Maxime (or even Gru). He also eventually mutates himself, developing a half-moth form he can turn into at will.
He’s an insect enthusiast, can sew and draw, etc.
He’s ambitious, competitive, spoiled (like almost every only child), kinda mischievous and can show a surprisingly great amount of empathy and care, though it’s visible only when he’s near those he trusts.
Similar to Gru’s gorls who know all the minions by name and have brothers/cousins/uncles in them, he also knows all names of his dad’s cockroaches and treats them as family.
He usually wears a prosthetic leg but you can also see him with crutches.
Before moving to the neighborhood where Gru’s family lives, he had no friends (aside from his dad’s cockroaches + Fifi the dog).
He and Margo became rivals quickly and he enjoyed teasing her, although his attitude softened after he learnt about how Antonio broke her heart - as someone who was raised by parents who are devoted to each other since high school, Félix developed aversion to heartbreakers like the young Pérez.
The very first person he ever befriended was Agnes and it was because 1) Agnes is a sweet, honest and kind-hearted girl and 2) they share love for animals. He also befriended Dave soon.
From time to time, he pranked Gru: ordering pizza to his address, writing “Gruser Loser” on the front door with a chalk, etc. Y’know, mischievous yet overall harmless stuff.
As an adult, he becomes a moth-themed thief known as “Luno”, stealing luxury items from rich guys or rare artefacts from museums, decorating his family's lair with these “trophies”, while in public, he’s known as a top-tier tailor, working with his parents in their “civilian business” - AVL leaves him be, as he’s harmless in comparison to different villains or supervillains and isn’t a global threat. They still monitor his activities, though…
Infamous catch phrase? “Don’t mind me - just gonna rob this place real quick.”
These days, his relationship with Gru’s family is overall friendly, he often visits them, although he won’t hesitate to prank any of them occasionally.
And before we end, I still didn't make his actual villain outfit - in the pics where his wings and antennae are visible, he's in his civilian outfit and I'd say he might walk around like that at home or, more likely, in his family's underground lair.
Not sure if it's really that important to talk about, just wanted to announce some updates about my AU named 'Despicable Minions':
I've been working on the lore for a while, mainly to make sure it'd work well together - originally, I was adjusting the timeline of the movies, so they'd fit into one timeline but it didn't quite work for me, especially after the release of 'Despicable Me 4' and the announcement of 'Minions and Monsters' being in production.
Thankfully, I stumbled across a Reddit post that presented a theory that the prequels 'Minions' and 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' are actually movies within the Despicable Me franchise… and something just clicked in my head: this was the idea I needed.

To safe some space (and to visualize my thoughts better), I'll put a board I made in Milanote here.
Basically, what I did was that I included 'Despicable Me 1 - 3' as canon events (alongside 'Secret Life of Pets 1 and 2' + the movie 'Migration'), while the prequels + DM4 as "animated movies within the movie universe".
A small note to the Milanote board:
In the timeline section, you can see two titles, 'Double Life' and 'Venomous Legacy'.
'Double Life' is a part of my AU that takes place between DM3 and Venomous Legacy… de-facto a DM4 replacement (since the actual Despicable Me 4 is a “movie within the movie universe” in this AU).
On the other hand, 'Venomous Legacy' is a title of the part of Despicable Minions that takes place 13 years after the events of Despicable Me 3.
Both of these will work as tags for art with describtion (or maybe for short comics).
I'm planning to later talk more about the OCs I have created for the AU + lore behind Gru's minions, the female minion tribe that currently lives in Toronto and of course, I'm going to eventually introduce the major antagonist of my AU, the quebecan supervillain Cœur Venimeux, properly.
Oh, and for those who are new to my AU, Cœur Venimeux is just a villainous alias, not his actual name.

Alright, jokes aside, let's get to the serious topic…
Gotta confess, this topic has been sitting in my mind for a while now, however, I couldn't find the right words to express myself.
So... I already left the Poppy Playtime fandom once in the past, only to return because the 3rd chapter caught my attention and remained here thanks to Doey in Chapter 4, as I very quickly warmed up to him (he’s an interestingly-written character… technically, he’s three people and one being at the same time but whatever).
However, what I’m noticing more and more often in the fandom, combined with how Mob Entertainment is constantly cutting a branch under themselves, just makes me feel… well, I'm less than impressed.
As hinted in the beginning of this post, several weeks ago, I decided on creating OCs based on the Doey boys and putting these to my own universe called “Midnight’s Pack”.
I’m not saying I’m leaving Poppy Playtime… well, not now.
I’m just pausing the work on Doey Survival AU and will be waiting.
If anything new will be revealed about our beloved dough guy, for example in the 6th chapter, I’ll either remake my AU, or leave the fandom - depending on what will be revealed and whether it’ll ruin my opinion of the game.
And if, by chance, we’ll get the canon designs of Kevin and Matthew, I’ll do the redraw.
And because I don’t talk about Midnight’s Pack very often here, let me give ya a summary:
Midnight’s Pack is a project of mine that’s also a main theme of my UnVale profile (there’s been a lot of behind-the-scenes work and I have to upload more lore and characters, but I’m very much active on this topic).
The major premise is that five teenagers in a world full of magic work on a group school project and through it, they build a strong bond and slowly become friends. The catch? They come from different families, have various interests and, most importantly, each of them is a different magical race (one is a ghoul, one a werewolf, an elf, a vampire and the last one is a vampire-werewolf hybrid).
The universe + story are mainly meant to have a more light, laid-back tone, though serious topics (such as loss, divorces, student rivalry and animosity, etc.) may appear from time to time.
Moving back to the three OCs I came up with, let me finally introduce: Merlin, Kenneth and James, the Odell brothers.
As you can see, they're based on my Doey bros designs, but I made some adjustments in their appearances, mainly because these three aren’t humans: Merlin is a merfolk, Kenneth is an elf and James (affectionately nicknamed “Jamie”) is a ghoul (also called a shapeshifter).
These three are the residents of the Moonvine Town (main location where the story of Midnight’s Pack takes place) and the secondary characters in the story.
There are some significant differences between them and the Doey bros, such as the Odell brothers not being humans, Merlin and Kenneth coming from different orphanages + these two being adopted by Jamie’s parents, etc., but there are also similarities, for example Merlin’s tendency to blame himself for what happened to his bio family or Kenneth’s distrustful and serious nature.
By the way, I haven’t come up with a name for Jamie’s plushie yet but I’m open to the suggestions.

Whenever someone suggests the idea of Doey splitting into 3 (not as an AU, but as their actual hope/prediction for how Mob should handle a Doey comeback in canon), I'm just... No thank you.
I'm kinda stubborn about my beliefs on his minds being interconnected and therefore it not being possible for him to fully split in canon, but I also just don't want it to happen in canon because I don't want the risk of Mob canonizing color assignments for the trio. Because the chances of them conforming to red Kevin fanon is too high... :(
Even though in-game Chapter 4 stuff implies orange Kevin (the monster form head positionings, the Doey logo having an orange fist) I could see Mob going back on it simply because it's not what the majority of the fandom agreed on kinda like how the Black Gryph0n music video has red Kevin too so I really REALLY don't want that to happen. Plus Doey's own character designer being a red Kevin truther too, so if Doey ever got canon split forms it would almost certainly be by the same character designer and they would 100% disregard the orange Kevin implications from Chapter 4 to follow their own color headcanon if Mob allows them to.
In other news, I had a nightmare last night about red Kevin being canonized. That totally didn't influence this post at all (no joke actually, it was the other way around; I was thinking about posting this for a few days now and I think it invaded my dreams as a result, lol)
Don’t wanna sound cruel but at this point, it'd be better if Mob Entertainment keep his fate unclear, so the fans could still make fun and interesting headcanons and interpretations without being shoved from the fandom.
To split the Doey bros into their own bodies isn’t a bad concept on a paper but to make it work, it’s more difficult than it seems and the fact dudes from Mob Entertainment might mess it up makes me worried.
I myself am currently adjusting how these three and their connection work in my “Doey Survival AU” where they split into three separate bodies, as I wasn't quite happy with the original idea I was going with… more about it in a different post, though.
Now, speaking of the “RED Kevin” canonizing possibility… *sigh* yeah, I’m afraid of it, too.
Or, better-said, I’m more afraid of the mis-characterization of the lil’ guy that could come with it...
Not saying everyone who’s team “RED Kevin” makes him an evil monster, however, there are some infamous artists on the internet who do…
Watching a YouTube video and suddenly getting a huge urge to click off in the middle of it because the guy used the Safe Haven memorial room photos to represent Kevin and Matthew... How many times do I have to explain that those kids AREN'T Kevin or Matthew??? Kevin and Matthew DON'T HAVE CANON DESIGNS... I hate misinformation arghghhgh *cries*
I nearly got hacked on here today so I thought I'd spread some caution.
If someone messages you to say that they or their friends have accidentally reported your account and desperately want you to contact "tech support" on g-mail, discord, or any other non-tumblr-affiliated apps, DON'T DO IT. they are trying to hack you to gain access to your account(s). If it wasn't for my brother, and me doing some research on Google, I would have probably gone through with it. If this does happen to you block and/or report the account.
Seeing comments filled with intense hate directed at a specific character made me incredibly sad. More than anything, I really like and cherish that character...😢(I'm sorry if I misunderstood.)
I believe everyone has the freedom to have likes and dislikes.

Headcanons (continue under cut):
1 ) Jack is right-handed, Kevin is left-handed and Matthew is ambidextrous.
2 ) They’re all water Zodiac signs:
Jack: born on 29th June 1984 (Cancer = the Crab); 8 years old when becoming Doey.
Kevin: born on 14th November 1981 (Scorpio = the Scorpion); 11 years old when becoming Doey.
Matthew: born on 16th March 1977, (Pisces = the Fish); 15 years old when becoming Doey.
3 ) Jack is American with roots from Puerto Rico from one side of his family, Kevin is Canadian-American with Austrian ancestors and Matthew is Colombian-American.
4 ) While Matthew had siblings before ending up in Playcare (one older and several younger ones), Jack and Kevin were both the only child in each of their families. However, Jack would have had two older siblings if Susan didn't lose these babies.
5 ) Over time, they built a very strong, brother-like bond, although the event of Chapter 4 could have easily shattered it.
Both Kevin and Matthew often switch to "overprotective older brothers mode" these days.
6 ) They communicate with each other telepathically. If they want to talk to someone else, they have to write it down, as others only hear unrecognisable, silent, mumble-like sounds coming out of the Doey brothers.
7 ) The Doey boys got so used to each other’s presence that they feel uncomfortable when being too far from each other. They even sleep together in a pile: Matthew sits in the middle, Jack is curled up like a kitten in his arms, while Kevin sits on the left, his head gently leaning on Matthew's shoulder.
8 ) Through the blue dough that's stuck on their bodies, they can consume food (since they have no mouths). How did each of them get these, you ask? Well...:
Jack (blue dough on his hand, ending under the elbow): After Chapter 4 events, as the body started slowly de-freezing, Jack woke up first. He got frightened and in an attempt to run away, his right arm got stuck in a partially defrozen blue dough. Matthew eventually helped him out.
Kevin (blue dough on his left hand and forearm, ending under the shoulder; also some dough droplets on face, neck and both shoulders): After waking up and seeing Jack being afraid of him, filled by guilt and rage (currently turned against himself), Kevin climbed back into the bigger body. While punching the surrounding blue dough (to release his negative emotions), his left arm got stuck in the material. As the blue body started defreezing even more, some of the dough fell on his face, neck and shoulders. He and Matthew helped each other to get out before the blue body could fall and trap them inside.
Matthew (blue dough on his legs and lower part of belly; also some dough droplets on face, neck and both shoulders and arms): Waking up as the last one, Matt first freed Jack’s right hand before entering the bigger body to rescue Kevin. There, his legs and lower part of the belly got trapped in the partially de-frozen dough + some of the material fell on his face, neck and shoulders. After some talking with Kevin (who was still trapped and gradually calmed down), the two of them worked on helping each other and eventually got out before the blue body could fall and trap them inside.
9 ) They can still fuse into one body that’s similar to the original Doey (Jack and Kevin discovered that unintentionally): the body is grayish-darker blue with dirty blue freckles, arms and lower part of the body, has visible scars, lacks mouth and has three pairs of eyes (Jack's are the highest, Kevin's in the middle and Matthew's are placed the lowest).
They're also significantly smaller (OG Doey had 9’5” or 287.02 cm, while this current form is only 7’5.5” or 227.33 cm tall) yet faster than the OG body.
In this form, they call themselves “Shadow Doey” or “Phantom Doey” (both of these were Jack's idea).
10 ) Their current goal is to find the way out of the factory, possibly to take some friendly toys with them, and build a New Safe Haven somewhere else… somewhere safer, where they could settle and live without cruel people hurting them again.
Kevin: “*Ahem* Let me add something. ‘Both Poppy and that former employee are permanently banned from New Safe Haven we are planning to build in the future. We have to make sure they won’t find it, so we’ll do our best to avoid bumping into them again. Also, after a thorough discussion with Matthew, we decided that if necessary, permanent elimination of Poppy and the employee is allowed.’ That’s all I wanted to say...”
A small addition to the Doey Bros and their current appearance (in my Doey Survival AU):
I made sketches of their dough/clay forms that are based on three humanoid beings we could see during Doey's boss fight in Chapter 4 (crawling out of his mouth) + their merged form "Phantom Doey".
It's just sketches, so they're far from perfect, but they're definitely enough to show the overall style of how they look in the AU.
By the way, the small hat Matt has on is the same one the bigger body used to wear.
