George Harrison has always been my favourite Beatle and I’ve really looked up to him since I was a kid. So knowing that someone I admired so much is dead (and didn’t die naturally) has always upset me.

But when I went to see Eric Idle a couple of weeks ago he was telling everyone this story about how he stayed with him on his death bed. What stuck with me was that he said that George had absolutely no fear at all when he died. I know it sounds odd but that’s really comforted me a lot. So, Eric, I thank you massively for that.
