The West was said to be a wastelands, but in truth despite the darkness people still lived. Not as many, yes, but even they had lives. It was no surprise to Hayley; stories so often were not based in the truth. Unlike some of the other regions, the castles were...more protected than she was used to. Talking her way in had proved unsuccessful; for now, at least, she was taking a moment to reassess.
Wandering through the markets, she was in search of a way in. Someone had to take food into the castles, surely. To anyone else, though, she must look as an ordinary young woman searching for something to purchase. Her eyes landed onto a few soldiers, speaking to a vendor, and Hayley knew this was her chance. Stupidity and over-focusing caused her to run into an apple cart instead, knocking the whole thing over.
So much for subtlety.
Off to bed for now! I'll be posting my bios for all the verses in which I owe bios tomorrow once I get online. Let me know if you'd like to plot.
