first green flag: ymir does, in fact, have a soft spot for animals. though she does not plan to adopt one (save for juggernaut though she does not view him as a pet, moreso her loyal companion). if you see her petting a cat in Minrathous or treviso, she will quickly brush past the obvious, and move on. reminder: she is seen as a stern leader without any room for cutesy stuff in her life. point out that she’s petting a cat & she will deny it out of embarrassment, to save her pride.
second green flag: ymir is a good listener. have a problem, emotional or physical? she will sit beside and lend an ear to your woes. when, for example, Bellara expressed her conflicting emotions regarding Cyrian and his allegiance with Anaris, Ymir heeded her concerns. usually, the bulwark shares brutal honesty, but not this time. it’s in the form of realistic expectations that bellara should have knowing that Cyrian may, in fact, betray them. recognizing that they may have to fight a relative, and at worst, stop him permanently, ymir sees this is an emotionally-tied matter. one that she has to help guide Bellara towards the truth: that they have to stop her brother, no matter the cost.
