[I HAVE A SUBMISSION. I’ve been busy with work (I started a second job recently), so I’ve haven’t had a lot of time to write, but I’m almost done :’)
i’m glad ;; but i hope you’re not the only one! i know people would be busy with school starting up again now and stuff so i made a point to give two months, but its five days left now and idk. i’m happy to extend the date as long as I know enough will submit.
Not a writer? Draw! Not an artist? Write! Like both? Do both!
Things to keep in mind:
➳ No smut, please! Suggestive themes are okay.
➳ It must be deathshipping! That’s Mariku and Ryou, and we would prefer those names to be used. If you do not like “Mariku”, we kindly ask you to use “Amir” as a substitution. “Yami Malik” is also fine. Thank you :)
➳ You may include as many other characters as you’d like!

Writing --
➳ Please include the word count as well as a title, if you wish, ABOVE the “read more” cut.
➳ There is no word limit or minimum! Write as much or as little as you would like!
➳ Every writer has their own headcanons as to how a character behaves. Feel free to write your characters however you want, as we are not asking you to write the characters as our muses! We may disagree with the headcanons, but we’ll take into account every aspect of the story when picking our winners. Having said that, if you are interested in the challenge, you may feel free to browse the blogs for inspiration.
Drawing --
➳ If you wish to add a brief few sentences to go with your drawing, you are more than welcome to do so, though this is by no means required. There are no restrictions! You may also chose to do a comic style.
➳ Every artist has their own preferences as to appearances, and their own physical headcanons. Feel free to draw your characters however you want, as we are not asking you to create the characters in our muses’ images. We may disagree with the headcanons, but we will take into account every aspect of the piece when picking our winners. ➳ You may submit as many times as you’d like! You can submit one entry with a full story and a picture, or both as separate entries, or even multiple entries of whatever combination of medium you prefer! If you’ve got three story ideas, do all three, time permitting!
➳ Your piece can be inspired by a true creepy story/creepypasta/news event, but do not plagiarize! We’ll find out, trust me! Between the two of us, we’ve read enough horror stories. I strongly suggest you give credit to the original story you were inspired by, somewhere on your submission.

➳ You must also make sure to write that it is for this contest, and provide a link to this post so that anyone else can easily find it and join too! Spread the word!
➳ Make sure you @ mention BOTH @maariku and @creampuffsandcardgames, so that we will get a notification for the post.

➳ One winner will be chosen for each category; writing and art. If you chose to do a piece with both, it will be judged by what we liked better.
➳ If we get over fifteen entires (not fifteen people, fifteen entries!), we will consider doing two winners in each category, so get your friends in on it for a better chance at winning!
➳ The writing winner will have their work performed and recorded by the man that does the voice for my blog (examples found here), and posted on this blog with credit to you, of course, with a direct link to your work.
➳ Winners get handmade plushies! Regular sized by @creampuffsandcardgames and mini “teacup” sized by @maariku.
Regular plushies are about 10 inches tall, mini plushies are about 6 inches (depending on the hair of the character!). Mini plushies can be made posable! Ask for details.
