D I O R . Spring 1998. Galliano's second, and in my opinion, his best collection for Dior. It was romantic and epic ( trademark for Galliano ) in presentation, feminine with fringing, lace and other exquisite fabrics, along with slip details, long strands of pearls and remnants of the Masai neck braces from his first Couture collection ( Fall 1997). The collection was matched with an equally exquisite set comprising of piano salon and boudoir. I miss the presentations like these, where there was a sense of drama, the supermodels taking on a different persona and bringing the clothes to life.
