Adulting mail. Got an offer from Verizon for some hefty discounts on a phone. I love my S7 Edge. But it gets so hot these days it literally shuts itself off from overheating. And the bottom inch of the screen is now completely white out. So ... upgrade. Also got a new laptop earlier this week for about $300, since I won't be able to use the Cricut maker I'm getting for my store without it. The model I chose has a bay for a hard drive, so I pulled the drive from my dead laptop. If all goes well, i will have saved money since i won't have to pay Geek Squad to back up the drive! The loan I took out is paying for these key pieces of tech so I can retool my store and offer new merch. I hope to start designing new stuff in the next week or so, and my Patreon patrons are going to suffer through my experiments! The head on the right has been painted with a richer brown, with black highlights scrubbed in with a dry brush. I really like the depth this creates, rather than the flat brown of the standard paint. I also did a little dry brush scrub to bring some color to his face - the Edward from Twilight Pop is soooooo pale This is a head for my "Red Carpet Sebastian" custom Pop. Prepping more fabric for mini plushies, soon to debut in my store. This process makes the ink colorfast, which means it can stand up to mild washing. I'll need to write up a care instruction sheet to go with these guys. These little guys are about to go live in my Etsy store. Handmade original art plush keychains/backpack mascots. They come with both a lanyard clip and a key ring so you can adapt them for yourself.
