So my long weekend was awesome..
We got this four day weekend off at school (no idea why, apparently got another one this week as well..) and it was a whole pile of fun :P Thursday night, I was chilling at home and got a text from my mam to join her at The Thistle if I felt like it, so I did. Along with Lawrie and Calum. Got pretty drunk that night tbh, probably more than I should have but yeah no matter. Near the end of the night, we got invited to a BBQ the next day from a friend.
On Friday, I decided to go the BBQ and phoned George to tell him, so he could accompany me. Turns out we missed it and he'd gone to fly a kite. Phoned to apologise and we decided to have it anyway (as me and George were heading down to pick up stuff anyway) That was really fun, good catch up time and some good laughs were had by all :P After the BBQ, me and Mr Frank headed out to Kirkcolm for Ben's bonfire, which was great fun. George left early for work so I planned on sharing a taxi with a friend, who left while I was at the loo :P Then sorted another lift and ended up in a somewhat illegal car journey xD That was fairly epic. On our return we all got told to leave and the driver was in hiding.
Saturday, I had another BBQ, this time at my house, with George. This was much more successful than the first as we pre-cooked everything and just kinda smoked it on the BBQ. Very nice :) George stayed that night, whole night we were awaiting the Ginger, who appeared around 9am slept for an hour then left for church around 10 :P Spent the day with George, most of it spent napping. Night concluded with me, George, Lawrie and my mam watching a film in which both myself and Geroge fell asleep. G-Man stayed the night and then left for work the next day.
I spent most of Sunday with the hungover Ginger, we pretty much just walked around town, had some food and complained about life :) After a while we met the lovely Lewis for a brief spell, highlight of that being I burnt my eyelashes :P Got back home and discovered my mother had brought her mam round for dinner. Not so cool ¬¬ Sat through that and between myself and Deb ate almost two portions of lasange (teamwork :P) After my gran left I got a call from a friend asking if I wished to join him for some drinks, being myself I accepted and we all went along (myself, Deb & me mam) Turned out to be a really good night (at least in my opinion) and got myself into an Open Hat Relationship :D Basically me and my mate are making our hats communal to each other and can now borrow as and when needed :) Very sweet deal I think.
Monday was pretty epic. Political statements were made ;) Basically there was a Tory sign near Deborah's house. She was appalled at this and we had formed a plan to remove the sign a.s.a.p. So Lewis, Deborah and myself got out to Kirkcolm and put our plan into action. However, Deb and myself had misjuged the terrain and had both worn shorts (piles of nettles all round) So Lewis took the sign from it's perching point and we decided to take it to the beach and burn it. Obviously we couldn't walk the public ways, so we took it through fields and woods, pretty skillfully. All barbed wire fences were covered with the sign for crossing and it was a pretty effective nettle stomper :P So we got pretty damn far and then realised we were coming into view of Deborah's house. Stealth was used to a fairly high standard and we got to the hill leading to the beach. Would have been easy enough to get down but not so easy to get back up, and as the tide was in we couldn't walk along the beach. So we planned out another route and were just about to put it into action as Deb's mother rang to tell us to return for dinner. So we figured we would throw it down to the beach and come back later. Nominated Lewis as the thrower and he took the first throw. That failed so he took another throw and got it stuck in a tree :P Not as epic an ending as we would have liked but yeah. Still got time to move it :P
So that was my long weekend, I can only hope this upcoming one keeps the standard so high :) Currently I'm chilling at the Frank residence and had planned to go out out on George's bike. Started getting ready and such, realised the bike's at my house :P Genious in the making right here ;)
