Is the pierced ear thing actually significant to anything?

We don't answer questions based on significance, so if you're asking why we answered it--the reason is because it pertains to someone or something that is part of the show. 

Fans have any number of reasons (weird or not, and we're not about to judge) why they like to know facts, and if information is disseminated through the fandom we'd rather it come with some factual background rather than propagating false information.

Thank you for being such an amazingly polite blog! I know you all deal with an incredible amount of wank and people trying to instigate all sorts of drama through your account but you do a great job in always being polite, respectful and objective. You're one of my favorite parts of fandom. My appreciation to everyone behind the scenes keeping this blog running like a well-oiled machine. Bless you all for not feeding the trolls. :) PS: is there a website for this blog?

Based on the fact that Chad Kennedy said there were no plans to have bisexual characters in SPN, and Jim Michaels said "Destiel" wasn't an intended interpretation and Guy Norman Bee called "Destiel" non-existent... and Jensen has said numerous times that Dean is straight AND Dean himself has said he's straight... you can take "Is Destiel going to become canon in Season 9?" from "Pending" to DEBUNKED? Because that's a preponderance of evidence against Destiel ever being canon.

These are all reasons why we’re in the process of re-evaluating our Destiel prognosis. (Along with a number of other things we’re considering re-evaluating about how we operate now that we’ve been doing this for a little while and have a better understanding of the sort of information people want to hear about!) 

Unfortunately, real life happened for pretty much all of our admins at once, and we’re way behind on answering normal asks and rumors—much less an entire essay about Destiel facts and information. 

Based on the facts you’ve supplied (and many others), we can 100% debunk any “canon Destiel” in the past, and we can debunk any spoilers that say “they’ve been planning Destiel for the future.” What we do not know is if TPTB will never decide to do so. 

The only reason we have not yet debunked Destiel is because the writers and showrunners (and the other people who’ve given statements on the subject, as shown above, do NOT make story decisions) always turn away shipping questions by saying “no spoilers.” (But again, we will post a re-evaluation when we have the time, so we appreciate all of the facts you’ve suggested, we’ll be sure to include all of them!)

I love you guys but the amount of messages that attacked you for being biased (and I disagree) make me upset, so I have to unfollow you. But just so you know you guys are doing an amazing job and hope there'll be less haters around

We appreciate your message, and we just wanted to reiterate from our last post that we'll be tagging further messages (positive and negative--so that you can blacklist it) as "debunker feedback" and we won't be publishing anything else that does not adhere to our submission guidelines (in other words, no more disrespectful asks from any perspective will be posted).

Hello! Wanted to stop by and stay you guys are doing a great job and really helping separate the lies that usually cause wank in this fandom! But I've noticed some really rude anons lately *I'm sure I'm not the only one*, is there any way to ignore them and only answer anons that are genuinely concerned about certain information?

First of all we want to thank everyone for their kind messages. We'll post them all later, but for now we just wanted to say that we appreciate everyone's thoughts! 

We're sorry for posting all of the negative comments but we've wanted to remain transparent. We're not going to delete someone's suggestions just because we don't like them. We tend to learn a lot about the fandom and ourselves once we get past the negativity (we all get pretty emotional about Supernatural for the same reason--because we all like the show and interacting with it so much). On top of that, we have a policy to always assume best intentions on everyone's part. Yeah, that gets a little difficult when we're being accused of some really awful things. But we're more than happy to listen to everyone's concerns, and either to have a conversation about why we choose to do things the way we do, or to figure out a way that we can improve our blog. 

In the future we'll try to tag all of the feedback we receive (positive and negative) with "debunker feedback" so that you can blacklist that if you'd like to just see rumor- and fact-checking posts from us. 

We will also be adhering more strictly to our submission guidelines in the future, and we will no longer be posting anything that is disrespectful of anyone--especially other fans. (In other words, you can be critical of us, but we cannot continue to post things that say offensive things about any of our followers.) Thanks!
