Yennefer for the character ask ♡
Yennefer occupies a similar space as a character that Philippa does for me. For those who know me they'll understand what I mean by she's like a mother to me <3 if we're going with the Books then I like Yennefer as a Character in a way that is very "I want to study her like a bug". She's a deeply flawed woman I don't particularly like as a person but as fiction she is deeply compelling.
I don't particularly have any romantic ships for Yennefer, I don't think she pairs well with anyone. But I understand the importance of her relationship with Geralt so it's not like I'd deny that it is a thing in the books.
I really don't particularly like pairing her with other characters. If I had to say something for a non-romantic pairing I am Quite compelled by her dynamic with Triss.
Most of my opinions on Yennefer, I think, would be unpopular. I suppose one of them is that she'd be more compelling as a character separated from the storyline of Ciri and Geralt.
As for something I wish we got to see, I do wish we got more of Yennefer's time with other mages. It's on display well in Bounds of Reason but Yennefer is purposeful in her breaking of Mage Society and their conventions and I really wish we had seen more of her interacting with the world and society that made her. We see So much of what being a Witcher is to Geralt but nothing of the Sorceress and what being a Sorceress is to Yennefer. We get the most bare bones essential look at her occupation and whatnot. I feel like it's a waste.
