I had some leftover croissants and decided to make this croissant French toast this weekend. I added in some extra chocolate chips Just because. It’s a super simple recipe from Ina Garten. This dish is great for brunches or if you want to up your breakfast game.

This was a crowd pleaser and I’ll definitely make this again.

Panettone French toast bake.

My brother gifted me with two panettones (one large and one small) a couple of weeks ago. I was struggling with what to do with them. I don’t really eat them however after trying a small piece, I may have to change my mind.

I finally decided to make a French toast bake with the larger panettone. I couldn’t fit the panettone slices into my casserole dish, so I had to cube up the bread. Then I took my French toast mixture of egg, heavy cream, sugar and spices and covered the bread in them. I also drizzled a little chocolate liqueur over top. Because why not?

Then I let it sit in the fridge before baking it.

Looking forward to having this for breakfast this week.

If you didn’t want to serve this for breakfast. You could throw this together for a fancy Super Bowl party. Just make sure to prep it the night before.
