"i think someone just flirted with me in the locker room — that hasn’t happened since high school.” enzo says, a small smile upon his lips as he stepped closer to rosalia. the pleasure of a vacation, a few days away in an exclusive location, wasn’t something that would happen very often with him since he needed to be available in case of misfortunes. and since he didn’t shower at the gym, the opportunity has never been there. “and before you say anything, it wasn’t any of your cousins, i don’t think.” his arm wraps around her waist and then places a quick kiss to the side of her mouth. with a lazy yawn, he scratches his bare chest as he gazed around. “do you want to get in the water yet or are we chilling for a bit?” / @deceptxrem

he was a bit lazily strolling down the street, drinking coffee he purchased in the cafe on the corner, he was heading back to his club after a lunch break when something caught his attention on the other side of the street. or more like... someone. a gorgeous girl carrying boxes from a car and into a building right across his club. he was so distracted by her beauty he almost didn’t notice some of the boxes looking a bit too heavy for a woman to carry. looking both directions before crossing the street david walked over, rushing towards her at the end when he noticed  her accidentally pull a cable of a table lamp. “oh, be careful!” he called catching the lamp in the last moment before it fell out and on the ground.

between spain and his parents’ mansion, she had picked the option that he preferred, though explaining and suffering stares from his father and those that knew him best, that part he wasn’t all that excited for. not growing attached was rule number one — fatalities happened, especially from those often caught in the middle of a war and as much as he wanted to believe that his heart had and always would be, ice cold, that wasn’t the case with her. driving to the opposite side of town, the supposedly bad part of town, he accelerated through, only watching the speed arrow move backwards as he reached a enormous gate with a couple of men on standby, to whom he waved shortly before driving through and then parking in front of the main house, avoiding rosalia’s gaze altogether since he could almost sense that she had a lot of questions, a lot of which he probably would refuse to answer. “i’ll grab your bags.” he hopped off of the car, neck cracking as he forced his head to the sides and then picked up her luggage, throwing it over his shoulder as he watched one of the house helpers pick up the rest. with pursed lips, chocolate hues gazed back to rosalia. “are you still with me? my dad is not home so, you won’t have to worry about that for now.” / @deceptxrem

“thank you for the flowers. they were beautiful.”

there’s something about his gaze that makes it hard for her to sit still. 

it’s possible it’s her own guilt eating her up-- she is not prone to outbursts but her honesty at the dinner where they’d been introduced is fresh on her mind and despite her apologies to his family, the gifts she’d sent and the bruises her mother’s palm had left her with she still felt it. fresh on her mind. she looks like a picture, a chanel dress-- heels, a purse, bone straight hair, every bit the trophy wife she’s fairly sure she’s expected to be. the thought of it-- their impending nuptuals, makes her stomach swim, and she digs her own nails into her palm. 

breathe harley. breathe. 

"i'm not normally so.... open." 

harley is not good at apologising-- and his gaze is intense enough that for a second she falters, before regrouping. 

"what i mean to say is-- i didn't know i was doing anything but meeting a man i was supposed to go on a few dates with. my mother didn't warn me that it was marriage. and then you came in and made me feel even more like a child-- it...  i didn't mean to insult you. or your family. i'm sorry. i meant no disrespect." 

he's inscrutable and hard to predict. he had been cold and distant at the dinner though-- to be fair-- she hadn't been the warmest person in the room. now he just seemed like a man. handsome--certainly. but aloof too. 

"i think we should start again. no parents. no hand of destiny manipulating our futures. right now-- it's just us in an oddly empty... restaurant. there's wine. and there will be food. and i for one, would like to get to know you. at least a little bit. what do you say?" she let's her ice queen facade break a little, and gives him the warmest, realest smile she can muster.

     “look, you don’t have to believe me, but no matter how many times you push me out that door and off the property, i’m just going to end up right back here. i let you try it out a couple times, just so you would get it but this is getting kind of old.” rosemary smiled only because there was nothing else she could do, her hand over theirs, stopping them from doing it again. yes, her fate was sad but she couldn’t exactly cry about it, she’d done that plenty when she first realised that she would be trapped in the house she’d died in forever. the house hadn’t been inhabited for a long time because of her death and she’d managed to avoid the real estate agent every time she tried to sell it, but this new tenant that had for some reason not been bothered by a death happening on the premises was refusing to believe that they’d just bought a house inhabited by a ghost. “think of me as an unwanted roommate who doesn’t contribute to rent.”

fun fact she’s one of the first ocs i ever made and since she was originally a ghost i was like... let’s do that again
