So I backed a kickstarter back in 2013 called “Deck of Legends”, by Kaitlynn Peavler. It was basically a playing card deck of artwork themed around roleplaying games. Cool, right? The creator raised $12,005 of a $2,500 goal. Over the course of 2 years they drew most of the artwork for the deck (85%?) in a slow trickle and then just... stopped. On May 20th they announced they were stopping the project. They offered refunds to people, but as of today, July 17th, no one seems to have actually gotten their money back, including me. This is extra frustrating because while not working on the project people paid for, they’ve been taking patreon donations and commissions. So I just want to advise people to be careful with Kaitlynn Peavler’s patreon, ect, because they seem kind of sketchy.
