While Lucky and the neighbor set up his room, Declan decided to feed Noah. Now Declan is not the greatest with human food so he just gave him some peas and milk and... Noah didn’t seem too thrilled about it, especially when told not to throw them everywhere
Declan picked up the small child who was tugging on his leg and then got an earful from Lucky
“I cannot believe you wouldn’t tell me about this, I don’t care if you never thought you’d see him, you still hid the fact you had a fucking child from me, the person you claim to love and want to be with” he snapped, trying his best to not look at the boy who looked almost exactly like Declan
“Lucky- we can talk about this... don’t walk away from me!” he called with a sigh before looking at the boy in his arms who looked concerned “It’s okay” he said quietly as he put him down
The two clumsily got dressed afterwards and Declan insisted Lucky stay tonight but was woken up very early in the morning to the boy whimpering from what he assumed was a nightmare so he carefully held him close. The boy rolled in his arms and pressed closer causing Declan to smile a little bit and ruffle his hair “It’s okay, Go back to sleep” he whispered softly
Lucky just whimpered softly in response for a moment before he seemed to drift back off until the morning when he woke up and found him no longer in the bed
Meanwhile Declan spent the afternoon and evening relaxing, he read up on his vampire tomes and played some chess though the later it got the more irritated and worried he became with where Lucky was
Lucky got out of his bath and got dressed in his usual hoodie and jeans since he really didn’t have much other clothes, he’d have to fix that soon. He made his way downstairs and smiled when he saw Declan had actually made him breakfast, he half-expected him to have forgotten. “Thank you daddy” he said as he kissed his cheek sweetly
Declan just smirked and shook his head “Of course, Now eat up. I don’t need you getting weak on me if I’m going to turn you. Also I’m going out tonight”
“I know I know... and what? Can I come?”
“No. You can’t. I want you to stay here and watch the house” he said sternly
Lucky frowned, he knew Declan had places he couldn’t take him but he didn’t fully understand why or that it was because he was a human and Declan went to get training by other older vampires. “Okay.... I want to go out before you leave then, I need clothes... and stuff” he said stubbornly
Declan sighed and nodded “Alright just don’t stay out after dark” he warned
“I won’t”
Lucky ignored Declan calling for him and went up to his room before slamming the door, he couldn’t believe he’d keep something like that from him, he was livid.
“Fucking asshole! How could- Why. Urgh!” he spat as he paced the room and went into the bathroom, gripping the sink angrily “Why wouldn’t he tell me? Does he really not love me enough? Am I just... a toy?” he muttered angrily before slowly calming down and getting on his computer to try and cool off, hoping Declan wouldn’t bother him
It had been about two weeks since the two had become official boyfriends, though Declan was still a little unsure about t he whole thing.
One morning around 5:30am Declan heard something strange downstairs and was already dressed since he didn’t sleep that night and headed downstairs to check it out, what he found.... shocked him.
Lucky yawned and heard the noise too, he’d fallen asleep in his clothes playing Incredible Sports with Aria on the computer so he followed Declan downstairs “What is it babe?” though Declan remained silent, staring at the child sitting at the front door
