who merrick & @declanflanagan when january 1st where the tattoo den
merrick had never been one to care about new years resolutions - she was perfectly content being who she was, even if not everyone around her was always thrilled with that. but new years day seemed like the perfect time to indulge herself in something new - and she’d been debating on a tattoo for months. though she hadn’t gotten one since the small heart on the inside of her index finger, she was still excited at the prospect.
the biggest problem was, merrick still had no idea what to do. she’d thought of a thousand possibilities - something to signify her relationship with her sister, an alien face, a butterfly or bird - she knew where she wanted it, she knew where she’d go to get it, she just didn’t know what to get.
the walls were covered in various artwork one could get permanently etched on her body and she walked along, gazing at them all and debating to herself - a quiet mutter as she picked apart every option - until she realized she wasn’t alone in the room anymore.
“what do you suggest? is there a piece here you’re particularly fond of, or that you really want to put on someone?”
