Maybe it's time to cut this whole "wanderer without a map" act to the quick.
It would be nonsense to imply that she'd never been lost before (it was practically part of the job) but she'd certainly never found a place like this before. This Zone was downright odd-- even in a world where the unusual was commonplace-- with its muted walls and street-like paths. It lacked uniform. She felt a powerful need to explore it further, propelled by sheer curiosity. After a while of traveling down a path, she had to leap out of the way as a small white blur shot past her.
Turning to see what had nearly bowled her over without a second thought, she made out...an Elsen? What in the world? Scanning the area around her more cautiously, the presence of about three other Elsen- all running in the same direction- became clear. The very thought of a Zone populated with such reckless Elsen forced her to suppress a shudder. She'd have to watch out for Burnts, no doubt, and fighting them always felt wrong on some level.
Still the princess pressed on, tenacious in her desire to see what lay at the heart of this place. It then occurred to her that few people ran without purpose. ..perhaps if she truly wanted to learn about this Zone, the best plan would be to see just what those little men were running to.
Clutching at her skirt so that it wouldn't trip her up, she ran along behind them, eager to see if her theory was correct.
