Yeah, it was so much easier than the mocks!! I'd say I got most of it down as well, so I'm content. Ugh yeah, I hate paper 2. I so hope Géibheann comes up for the poem... and anything but Cáca Milis for the prose! And surely they won't give us Donegal Irish for the leamhtuiscints sure that would be blasphemy hahaha

Yeah, the answer was a turas rothaíoctha which is a biking trip... and there was an information night on it on the 9th.. I think, that's what I got anyway!! What did you get for the last question on that fógra? Was it to raise money for fountains or something??

French is awful, i'd have rathered have learned Spanish(i'll hopefully start learning it after June). Its amazing that you want to learn Irish, the amount of people I know that hate it. I really wish the Irish would know just how beautiful the language is

Well, my school didn’t offer Spanish, only French or German. And frankly me and German never did get along.I’m of Irish descent (Irish/French mix) but I was born here in England so I didn’t really hear Gaeilge until I made some friends in Dublin who can speak it fairly-well and they’d drop random phrases into conversations with each other and it was so lovely I was like “right. You want to move to Ireland. Learn the fucking language, girl” and so I am. Slowly.

Ah sure I have friends that wouldn't understand the corrections I made :) You are doing really well for not having any actual classes. I'm fluent anyway óna bhí mé 3 bliana d'aois. I've studies though Irish my whole life(my last week and a bit now)

Whoops! This got lost under a heap of messages from my friend.That’s very sweet of you to say! I have to use google translate for the occasional word but I think I’m getting better at constructing my own sentences with what I’ve garnered from Rosetta / bitesizeIrish / that one BBC site.

However, because I learned French first (although my French is AWFUL. It’s fair to say, at this point, that my Gaeilge is better than my French ever was) if I can’t think of a word my brain offers up the French. Like “aha! You appear to be doing Foreign! This word is Foreign! Use this!”. No. No that is not how it works and that is not helpful >.<I’m envious that you were brought up with it from a wee babby. Learning a second (er, technically third but see previous point WRT French) in your 20s is HARD.

Go raibh maith agat! But I don’t think my Gaeilge is good enough to understand corrections about it which are also written in Gaeilge. Something about ‘An foghlaim ag gan dabht níl go dona’ not being quite right?Edit: I guess 'staidear' is 'study' or 'studies'? Yay! New word! Possibly better than saying 'learning' all the time!
