ok so this MIGHT just be an urban legend, but he came out of nowhere in 2004, was credited on a ton of comics, and then disappeared. no press photos of him exist, he never attended any panels, and no interviewer ever actually saw him. the only interview with him i can find is with cbr from 2005, which was done remotely. however, a few marvel editors including mike marts say they’ve met him and that he has “an immense godzilla memorabilia collection.”
to confirm that he’s real you could, i suppose, contact the manga company cbr says he used to work for in the 90s or try to find his name in something they published at the time but i don’t think anybody has bothered
when you google his name you get a couple of seemingly unrelated japanese artists and a rugby player
