I think Will and Mack will avoid living together. They would have done it last season if they were going to do it. I kinda see Mack going solo or with Sam and Will going with one of the AHL guys like Jack Thompson or the program guy they got. He loves a bro sidekick.

Maybe, or there's a possibility they can live with some other baby sharks for all we know.

I have no real insight, as far as I'm concerned they are Schrodinger's Housemates until we hear it from the boys themselves.

I don't get this obsession people have with wanting 'proof'? Like, what are you hoping for - photos and videos? If your hooking up with someone, you’d hope you’re a little too preoccupied to grab your phone and broadcast it online. Way to kill the romance and guarantee that it'll never happen again. 😂

Do I think that a lot of the gossip around Will and Mack is probably BS - yeah, sure. But this expectation that there will be receipts of their hookups is not realistic. Anything real will probably happen with people they trust and not those who are going to be loud about it.

I think that there are often so many rumors and receipts of a lot players being messy, that it's natural to wonder why there is maybe lack of such things concerning WSH. Personally I think that enough money and influence can go a long way to keeping things off the internet and we know the Smith Hockeys do not lack either of those things.

Nobody can actually know what's true or not except those directly involved, the only reason I went and poked for anything was because the OP specified something public that could be observed.

While it might be fun to speculate and gossip, it's not really productive and whatever I could or could not have found was ultimately not worth me fighting my bad attention span to continue.

Why would Mack and Will get a pass when other players get canceled? The entirety of the league is MAGA or worst apolitical.

I didn't say i'm giving them a pass? I'm not going to treat them like H*rt or the Tk*chuks etc because as of now, they haven't outwardly harmed anyone.

I don't claim to be 100% unbaised here. I might give players on the team I support a little more grace but I will absolutely drop my support if anything truly substantial comes out about them being bigoted POS.

Oh I know - it's how we show affection nowadays! I will never claim not to be guilty of such, but sometimes I read stuff here and it just doesn't come across as playful, idk. Not many, to be fair but enough for me to side eye a bit

If this holds any weight at all, Mack’s dad follows Barack Obama (not the best, but for the general public was a fair democratic political figure). I think that family may be moderate, or at least somewhat liberal, but culturally conservative in the way that I’ve noticed the tastes of, for lack of better word, trend hopping conservatives, and mainstream white America have adopted within the past five or so years. Like think farm style house, capitalistic “grindset” values, Zach Bryan + Morgan Wallen, and those sort of stereotypes.

As for the Smiths, yeah it’s a lil rickety over there… Colleen seems to value women’s independence and leadership, but there’s still some trad values (I believe she stopped working when marrying - unsure though). Grace seems moderate, maybe liberal leaning. She reposts stuff on tt pretty frequently about being grateful for her life circumstances, and that other people aren’t as privileged as her. That told me she’s at least somewhat conscious. Of course, there’s the thing with Ryan Leonard being possibly being MAGA, and Will Smith’s grandma (?) being a Republican politician.

I think I’ve just observed those two players at the least to be apolitical. Which is horrible, considering the state of sociopolitical issues in America, but better than being outright MAGA. If not apolitical, then maybe more conservative leaning. Maybe Will more so than Macklin, there’s small things in clips and stuff that kinda just tell me he’s uninvolved, but obviously is unbothered by diversity of existences, and maybe even understanding of how these communities are underserved.

Playing a sport that’s players are only really able to concentrate on it if given wealth and resources, and rewarded by being brought to the NHL, obviously is a sort of privilege that forms a bubble. I mean, Will n Mack said their favorite area in the Bay was Los Gatos, which is a community that is pretty secluded from the rest of Bay Area culture. It’s wealthy, predominantly white, and honestly can be weird and micro aggressive to those that pass by that aren’t white, or at least fitting a certain mold. This is coming from someone who lives in the Bay Area, and I’m sure they don’t even notice it, given their innate privilege of being brought up as wealthy white men.

I agree...hockey is a very paywalled sport at every level of play. Unfortunate. I don't even think it's a conscious thing when it comes to Los Gatos, the players are really just in a bubble it seems.

The boys are still young-ish, I think Mack is in a better place having a more Lib-ish family....but he's been in the US a long time, and we are very good at spreading our brain rot. Not sure if he can grow out of it especially given his closest friends.
