If anyone think so, that person is an abuser or a conflict avoidant person, a person who wants you to accept mistreatment, normalise social dysfunctions and chooses to hide when they should stand up, not a good role model. You have all rights to leave an uncomfortable situation, tell a parent if you’re a minor and also to reject any advances from ANYONE that make you uncomfortable, in ANY setting, including work ones. Standing up for yourself is NOT “being difficult”, NOT “being sensitive”, it is NOT “over reactive”, it is NOT “making a mountain out of a molehill” or “thinking too much”. These are all ways people minimise the importance of your wellbeing as well as serious allegations. We’re waiting for the results of the investigation. Campiness, being humorous is sometimes a shield for social discrimination. It can be a facade to portray someone as a joker so sexism flies under the radar, creating public doubt and self doubt.
