July 2022 — Ariana and Dalton have a second wedding to celebrate 3 years of dating.
September 18, 2022 — According to The Sun, Ariana and Dalton are renting a home in Hampstead Heath to prepare for Wicked filming.
November 2022 — Ariana gets her wedding date tattooed on her finger, matching the one on Dalton’s wrist.
November 11, 2022 — Ethan Slater wishes his wife, Lilly Jay a happy anniversary on Instagram. Ariana later likes all of Ethan’s pictures including this one after she follows him.
December 1, 2022 — Ariana follows Ethan Slater on instagram and posts a throwback of them on the 7th when he is officially announced as Boq.
December 8, 2022 — Wicked officially begins filming and Ethan posts a photo of his and Ariana’s shoes to instagram.
January 2023 — Ethan and Lilly Jay move into a London rental home with their son so they can stay together during Wicked filming.
January 23, 2023 — Ariana and Dalton are spotted holding hands in London. This was said to be a last ditch effort from Dalton to visit her and work things out, but it ended instead as she was falling for someone new. February 14, 2023 — Dalton calls Ariana his forever valentine on instagram stories and she reposts it with an “I love you.”
February 20, 2023 — According to the petition for divorce, Ariana’s legal team listed this day as date of separation.
March 4, 2023 — Ariana goes to the Soho House with Ethan and Lilly Jay.
March 5, 2023 — Ethan and Ariana are spotted taking a stroll in London. Allegedly they were alone with Ethan’s son.
March 26, 2023 — Ariana and Ethan are sitting real close at Michelle Yeoh's Oscar party.
Ariana isn’t wearing her ring on this night and stops wearing it on her social media posts.
March 29, 2023 — Frankie visits Ariana in London.
April 2023 — Sometime at the beginning of the month, Ariana and Ethan both unfollowed each other on Instagram, and later fans noticed all of Ariana's likes on his posts were gone, but Ethan's likes remained on her posts. Meaning Ethan blocked her. And it seemed Frankie had been blocked as well.
April 7, 2023 — Ariana briefly wears her wedding ring while out in London.
April/May 2023 — Dalton supposedly gets Ariana’s name tattooed on his chest around this time.
May 14, 2023 — Ethan wishes Lilly Jay a happy mother’s day on instagram. Ariana likes it.
May 15, 2023 — Ariana posts an instagram story for her and Dalton’s 2 year wedding anniversary.
Call me crazy but I now believe this post was the bat signal. If they started dating in July 2019, that would make 3 years, 10 months together. Two months shy of 4 years so why is she specifically emphasizing (3.5 together!!!)? Well, if they broke up in January that would make exactly three and a half years together. So while they were legally married for 2 years now, they weren’t officially together anymore.
May 28, 2023 — Ariana deletes all her instagram posts prior to June 2021 and liked a photo that highlighted the relationship problems she was having.
Also during this time, Ariana was pictured wearing Ethan’s Shiz sweater (or a matching one) on the Wicked set.
June 1, 2023 — Lilly Jay wishes Ethan a happy birthday on Facebook.
June 27, 2023 — Ariana is pictured celebrating her birthday with arms around Ethan and Jonathan Bailey. Dalton’s sister posts about this on Facebook when everything comes out in July. It’s becoming more clear that even though they officially separated in February, they were not broken up for good. Ariana describes it as a ‘situationship’ in the Eternal Sunshine track, “don’t wanna break up again” and adds “..you didn’t even try. When you finally did, it was at the wrong time.” Judging from the song and her liked Instagram post the previous month, there were attempts from Dalton to change that felt inauthentic. I now think she stayed a little longer for his sake but her mind had been made up for a while.
July 16, 2023 — Ariana is pictured without her wedding ring at Wimbledon 2023 and it makes headlines. I think this was a staged divorce soft launch because she hasn’t worn it in months.
July 17, 2023 — TMZ reports that Ariana and Dalton have been separated since January after he flew out to see her.
July 20, 2023 — TMZ also breaks the news that Ariana is now dating Wicked costar, Ethan Slater although he is supposedly still married. In the midst of the drama, Ariana likes some concerning instagram posts.
July 21, 2023 — Sources tell Page Six that Ethan told his wife Lilly Jay that he wanted a divorce just a few days before the news of him and Ariana breaks and she was "completely blinded sided"
July 26, 2023 — Ethan officially files for divorce from Lilly Jay.
July 27, 2023 — Lilly Jay breaks her silence and tells Page Six "Ariana's the story, really. Not a girl's girl. My family is just collateral damage." She says she is now focused on raising their 11 month old son who Ariana had previously met and held.
August 3, 2023 — Page Six reports that Grande and Slater were seen kissing before Ethan had broken things off with his wife, Lilly Jay. "They were sloppy on set," a source says, claiming they were together long before the world found out. "They were seen being all over each other while he was still supposedly happily married to Lilly." The source continues, "They were seen making out at a pub in Hampstead, and they were all over each other at Michelle Yeoh's Oscar party [in March]. The source also claims Grande and Gomez went on "multiple" double dates with Slater and Jay.
This pub rumor is later confirmed nearly two years later by Ariana herself in the Eternal Sunshine deluxe track, “Hampstead”.
September 18, 2023 — Ariana officially files for divorce from Dalton.
September-December 2023 — Ariana and Ethan are staying quiet but not a secret. They are spotted having dinners and going to Disneyworld. Ariana attends several of Ethan’s broadway shows for Spamalot.
January 7, 2024 — Ariana releases new single “Yes, and?” from her upcoming album and features the lyric “Why do you care so much whose dick I ride?”
February 2024 — Ariana lightly addresses the media circus in a Zach Sang interview: “We know this about the tabloids and about the media. We selectively remember that this is what the tabloids do to people, especially women, based on whether or not we like the person. We selectively remember that. We selectively leave space for humanness, for nuance.. We don’t need to go into any specifics, but of course there’s, like, an insatiable frustration..with watching people misunderstand the people you love and you.”
March 8, 2024 — Eternal Sunshine album is released. She begins the album with doubts about her marriage and admits that her eyes are wandering. She covers the toxicity of her and Dalton’s relationship over several tracks. “The Boy is Mine” officially addresses the scandal. Most of the last section of the album is about falling in love with Ethan and how this time it’s forever because she’s never felt this way before. And I mean this when I say I hope she’s right! Or else this was all for nothing.
March 19, 2024 — Daltiana divorce finalized.
March 28, 2025 — Eternal Sunshine deluxe drops with a little more information about both Dalton and Ethan. There’s a song called “Dandelion” that some people felt was a diss to Lilly with the flower reference. The closing track “Hampstead” addresses the last two years of her life, and claims the general public doesn’t know the full story. And this is a nice little bow to wrap up the timeline because, she’s right. I’m well aware that we don’t have all the answers or full context to anything I’ve covered here so don’t take it too seriously. I obviously have my own opinion, but I can say I give her grace in certain circumstances or the benefit of the doubt when I feel it it’s due.
As of April 2026, Ariana still seems to be with Ethan and her 8th studio album is on the way! If there’s bombshells dropped in that or if they break up, I will update.

April 21, 2018 — Ariana posts Mac before performing at Coachella, calling him her baby.
May 3, 2018 — Pete Davidson’s girlfriend Cazzie David posts a picture of them to instagram. Pete also confirms in late April that he is still dating her.
May 7, 2018 — Ariana hosts a Met Gala afterparty in NYC and invites comedian Pete Davidson after getting his number from Scooter Braun.
Pete later tells the story of this night being their first meeting/kiss.
May 9, 2018 — It is reported that Ariana and Mac have broken up and the next day, Ariana confirms it in a sweet instagram story. A source tells People “Ariana and Mac officially broke up right after Coachella weekend, but they ultimately struggled for a long time with their relationship, and it was basically over last year.”
May 12, 2018 — Ariana attends a Saturday Night Live after party with Pete. (no one knew it at the time since they arrived separately)
May 16, 2018 — Pete announces his breakup with Cazzie David after two years together. She later clarifies in her book that she had initiated a break with Pete earlier that week but called him to work it out. However, he said he was the happiest he'd ever been and officially dumped her two days later on the 16th. She found out the next day that he had already covered his tattoos that were for her.
May 17, 2018 — Pete posts to instagram showing a new finger tattoo covering Cazzie’s name and next to it, a cloud emoji matching Ariana’s.
May 18, 2018 — Pete gets the rest of his Cazzie tattoos covered.

June 2, 2018 — Ariana performs wearing an engagement ring. The ring maker said it took 2 weeks to make, meaning Pete would've had to order it around May 19th.

June 11, 2018 — Reports confirm the engagement.
June 15, 2018 — Pete posts about the engagement on instagram and Ariana comments.
June 16, 2018 — Pete gives Ariana his late father’s badge pendant.

Mind you, she was in a committed relationship with Ricky at the time. Unless she’s talking about September 2014 when she was a musical guest coincidentally on Pete’s first day, but even then she was about two months into dating Big Sean.
August 19, 2018 — Ariana and Pete walk the VMAs red carpet
September 7, 2018 — Mac Miller sadly passes away from an accidental overdose and Pete himself says he knew it was pretty much over between them at that point. Ariana perfectly encapsulates this in the thank u, next track, “ghostin”
October 8, 2018 — Pete and Ariana are seen together for the last time in her Instagram story.
October 9, 2018 — Pete is seen with his Ariana bunny ears tattoo now covered.
October 14, 2018 — After five months together, it is reported that the engagement has been called off.
November 1, 2018 — Pete does a promo clip for SNL. He proposes to the guest singer in it and she awkwardly says no, he looks at the camera and says "O for 3."

November 3, 2018 — "Thank u, next" is released and Ariana says she ran the song by every ex that was mentioned before putting it out. The music video comes out on the 30th and contains a scene of Ariana writing about all the exes in a burn book:

January 1, 2019 — Ariana tweets about a “Who is Ariana dating?” article with an answer: "spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it's no one. please refer back to this tweet for future questions."
Ariana spent the first few months of the year reconnecting and building a friendship with her ex boyfriends.
May 2019 — Ariana records the song “Boyfriend” with Thank u, next collaborator, Mikey Foster. There isn’t alot of information about these two but it was heavily rumored that they were dating around this time. From what I’ve gathered, it seems highly likely that they had a casual fling or flirtation. They hung out with their friend group all the time but there were a couple of instances that suggested more, like Mikey accompanying Ariana alone to her Vogue photoshoot and Ariana drunkenly singing about sleeping over at his house in a demo. There’s also these comments from Mikey’s ex girlfriend.
July 13, 2019 — Dalton Gomez attends Ariana’s show in Salt Lake City and posts to facebook: "Two cuties and what a cool show! I want to follow you on tour for life ❤️”
This is the earliest interaction I could find between the two of them. I don’t know when they met.
December 22, 2019 — Dalton attends the last show of the Sweetener tour and posts a video with the caption: “went to see my baby”
February 11, 2020 — TMZ posts a video of Ariana kissing a "random guy" at a bar.
March 25, 2020 — Sources confirm Ariana has been dating real estate agent Dalton Gomez since January.
May 8, 2020 — Ariana confirms her relationship with Dalton in the quarantined Stuck With U music video.

February 20, 2015 — Ariana attends Big Sean's album listening party before she leaves for her own tour on the 25th.
March 7, 2015 — Sean joins Ariana onstage at her Detroit show. Ariana continued to post pictures and videos of her and Sean throughout the month.
While on tour away from Sean, Ariana begins getting closer to her backup dancer, Ricky Alvarez. He first joined her team back in April 2014.
March 28, 2015 — Justin Bieber joins Ariana on stage for a couple songs. She refers to Sean as "my baby" in her Instagram post about it the next day.
March 31, 2015 — Ariana posts Ricky to snapchat with her dog.
April 4, 2015 — Ariana and Sean seem to indirectly tweet about/to each other. Although this specific tweet of Ariana’s was directed at her fans. Still I do believe this is very close to, if not the day they break up.
And on the same day, Ricky and Ariana kiss.
April 9, 2015 — The song "Moonlight" is written with Victoria Monet about a "night under the blood moon", in Ariana’s words.
Victoria later revealed this song was about Ricky and that he waited a long time to kiss Ariana. Um... what? A long time?
Ariana literally called Sean her baby on March 29th.
Like, yeah he waited a long time to kiss her because she.. had a boyfriend. The alternative would be helping her cheat. Is he being called an upstanding gentleman for refusing to partake in that? Best case scenario would be, Ariana broke up with Sean as early as March 30th and Ricky waited FIVE whole days to make his move. And that’s a long time in their world.
April 13, 2015 — Ariana teases Moonlight for the first time. Then gets a moon tattoo the next day.
June 8, 2015 — more Moonlight teases and a Ricky soft launch
June 28, 2015 — Ariana kisses Ricky during a performance, but there's a debate on whether they're dating or it's just the choreography.
July 7, 2015 — TMZ leaks surveillance footage of Ariana licking display donuts on a dare, declaring she hates Americans/America, being rude to a worker and insulting the food then kissing Ricky. It was controversial but also confirmed Rickiana.
They date for a year and three months. Jumping forward..
May 20, 2016 — the Dangerous Woman album is released with songs about Ricky such as Moonlight, Into You, Knew Better/Forever Boy and Sometimes.
1. Moonlight
Btw, writing the lyrics "I been crushing on you" a week at most after breaking up with Sean is wild
2. Into You
The concept of this music video shows her on the red carpet/in a relationship and bored with a man while sneaking around with someone on her team. Fans notice the love interest’s bandana and converse matching Ricky’s style.
3. Knew Better/Forever Boy
This one starts as a breakup song to Big Sean before transitioning into a love song with someone new, Ricky.
Despite saying she was the “happiest” with Sean and claiming him as her baby right before the breakup, she is now switching up to say “actually he wasn’t treating me right and I wasn’t feeling him anymore” and goes on to admit in Forever Boy that no one has been able to keep her satisfied longer than six months.. until Ricky, of course!
4. Sometimes
Ariana has gotten away with her behavior for so long that she's now comfortable hinting to being a serial cheater / dater

Mac Miller re-enters the timeline the next month in June 2016.
His friend DJ Clockwork says Mac went to rehab in California late June/early July after his longtime girlfriend left him and Ariana visited him several times.
July 13, 2016 — Ariana posts a happy birthday to Ricky on snapchat.
July 14, 2016 — Ariana posts a snapchat with Ricky while out celebrating his birthday.
July 15, 2016 — Ariana and Mac go to Disneyland then the studio to record the Into You remix. Here is the finished product that released on August 6th and it’s telling..
July 18, 2016 — Ariana posts her last snapchat with Ricky calling him a "sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet babe"
July 23, 2016 — Ariana debuts her new bangs in a tweet that hints at a breakup.
Her energy went from “my sweetx5 boy with a heart of gold!” to “I’m finally freeee! you guys were right about him, he wasn’t treating me right” in less than a week. Which to be fair this does happen in toxic relationships but her switch ups are always so quick they give me whiplash
July 25, 2016 — Ariana and Mac play Pokémon Go.
July 26, 2016 — Ariana's reps confirm her breakup with Ricky. Ariana says she's "happy to be single for a little while" …….
August 2, 2016 — Ariana promotes Mac's new single "Dang!" with an instagram picture.
August 11, 2016 — Ariana and Mac are in the studio. Ariana posts the photo on the left, Mac posts the photo on the right.
August 16-19, 2016 — Ariana and Mac are spotted by fans several times over the next few days.
August 21, 2016 — They are caught kissing while at dinner.
August 29, 2016 — They go public at the VMAs, she sits in his lap at the after party and it's like daily couple content after this.
September 6, 2016 — Instagram official!
September 15, 2016 — Ariana posts Knew Better part 2 to her Soundcloud. This remixed version replaces the 'Forever Boy' portion of the song with a verse of Ariana rapping about leaving Ricky for Мас.
Also, "my new boo lovin me like he USED to"? So they did have something back then.. during that “first December” maybe?
Their relationship lasts for 1 year and 9 months.
As we all now know, this relationship had a dark side behind the scenes due to Mac’s addiction and I do recognize Ariana’s loyalty for almost two years. I will always give her credit for that. She could only put up with it for so long. The song “everytime” from her 2018 album Sweetener gave us a peak behind the curtain.

February 23/25, 2014 — Ariana and Jai refollow each other on Instagram.
March 13, 2014 — Ariana is seen at the Janoskians (the youtube group Jai is a member of) party in LA
March 15, 2014 — Ariana is spotted by fans wearing Janoskians merch
March 21, 2014 — Ariana and Jai like the other's instagram picture
March 24, 2014 — Jai is heard laughing in the background of Ariana's instagram video
March-April 2014 — cryptic tweets (there's so many i'm only adding a couple)
At the same time, Ariana was performing “Right There” with Big Sean at different events
April 19, 2014 — Ariana and Jai are seen together by fans
May 1, 2014 — Ariana and Jai are caught kissing in the most staged video l've ever seen. like actually. (the hair flip, the giggling and covering her face even though neither of them are barely talking during this whole exchange)
And this doesn't mean it's all fake, they just wanted to hard lunch without doing it on their own social media. This way, it seems like they were "outed" as a couple and now have no reason to hide anymore.
This is a good time to bring up a real question, and really ponder on it. Are you more likely to go back to someone who cheated on you? Or go back to someone who tried to ruin your reputation and career by lying to the world that you're the cheater?
my opinion: Ariana was Jai's celebrity crush. He persistently tweeted her to get her attention and once he got it, he would do anything to keep it even if that meant letting things slide that he shouldn't. He even admitted in his twitlonger that he still loved her even after being cheated on. There's a power imbalance here that yall don't want to acknowledge..
Anyways moving on, they're in love and everything is still going well until late July.
Ariana spent all of July flying back and forth between business obligations and being with her sick grandfather in Florida. Meanwhile, Jai flew to Mexico around July 20th to film for the upcoming Janoskians movie. Apparently though, he was stuck there longer due to visa issues..
July 13, 2014 — Ariana captioned her selfie with "👩💭👦" the way she always did during this time to show she was thinking of Jai. So I believe they're still together here.
But then I noticed that she stopped liking his instagram pictures entirely after July 17th.
July 22, 2014 — Ariana's grandpa sadly passes away. Jai stays in Mexico until early August.
August 4, 2014 — Ariana posts a letter to twitter hinting that Jai did not come to be with her during this time and they have broken up. Someone did fly to Florida to be with her though.. Big Sean. Ariana’s mom shades Jai and Seaniana allegedly goes to see The Purge at the movies.
August 7, 2014 —Jai unfollows Ariana on Instagram.
August 11, 2014 — Ariana and Jai unfollow each other on Twitter and E! News reports that she and Big Sean are dating.
August 14, 2014 — Ariana's ex friend/coworker Jennette McCurdy posts a mini web series that features a character inspired by Ariana. A vegan, self-absorbed, obnoxious singer named "Gloriana". Jennette and Perez Hilton tweet about it and she backs up Jai's statements. The last time we saw them hang out was Halloween 2013 so Jennette may have witnessed some of the infidelity.
August 16, 2014 — Jai makes a statement about the break up on Facebook. They never interact again.
August 18, 2014 — Ariana and Sean share an intimate performance of their new collaboration “Best Mistake” at her album release party.
August 24, 2014 — They are seen holding hands backstage at the VMAs, officially going public with their romance.
August 25, 2014 — Ariana’s sophomore album My Everything is released with songs alluding to being unfaithful, mistreating a partner and taking them for granted, and being in an on/off toxic relationship — all likely about Jai.
There’s also a track called “Be My Baby” that she dedicates to Sean on the first night of tour in 2015 while they’re still in a happy relationship. Possibly letting us know he was the inspiration but the song was recorded in February 2014.
And Best Mistake was recorded with Sean in March.
That timeframe lines up with Big Sean's ex fiancé Naya Rivera finding Ariana in Sean's house. This would’ve been shortly before the engagement was called off by Sean in April 2014 supposedly due to Naya's "fits of anger and jealousy". Was Naya’s jealousy over Ariana one of the final straws?

February 6, 2013 — Ariana posts a picture of Mac Miller in the studio while recording her first single, The Way.
February 10-11, 2013 — Ariana and Mac make out while filming ‘The Way’ music video. Mac said this was an on the spot suggestion from the director. (Also kisses his cheek in a behind the scenes polaroid)
February 16-17, 2013 — Jai surprises Ariana on the set of the Popular Song music video.
February 20, 2013 — Ariana posts a picture of her and Jai to tumblr from the Popular Song video shoot with a troubling caption and the next day it's reported that they've broken up, confirmed by Ariana’s rep. We eventually learn this was over Jai’s suspicions of Mac Miller.

July 16, 2013 — Jai joins Ariana for a radio interview and gets asked how he felt about Ariana’s kiss scene with Mac because "Mac said ‘I heard her boyfriend was pretty mad about it’."
Jai denies any negative feelings about it but the only person who would tell Mac this information is Ariana and she's very quiet during this.
August 4, 2013 — Ariana and Nathan Sykes hang out for the first time while filming the "Almost Is Never Enough" music video and get close on set.
August 6, 2013 — Ariana and Jai make separate posts for their 10 month anniversary, seeming happier and stronger than ever.
August 10, 2013 — Ariana invites Nathan to sing their duet live for the first time.
August 13, 2013 — Ariana receives mystery flowers for the opening night of tour and Nathan starts following Ariana's mom on twitter.
August 15, 2013 — Ariana cries on stage while singing "Honeymoon Avenue" and she later reveals in an interview that Jai broke up with her over text right before she went on stage. Here's all I could find in tweets on the 15th-17th. Jai also unfollows Nathan on twitter.
August 24/29, 2013 — Ariana and Nathan continue performing their song live at different events
September 8, 2013 — Ariana tells a fan she and Jai are back together. A couple nights later, Jai and his brother attend Ariana's show in LA and he tweets about her.
September 23, 2013 — Ariana and Nathan are seen holding hands at Disneyland.
September 24, 2013 — They announce on twitter they are dating and that night, these staged kissing pictures come out.
So.. if they were "hesitant" to go public, how long were they dating beforehand?
Because literally 16 days ago, she and Jai got back together.
Jai's brother Luke takes the first shot on twitter then exposes what really happened to a fan in DMs. This gets back to Ariana and she responds.
Ariana's brother Frankie jumps in and finally, Jai responds to Frankie.
Side note: September 30th, Ariana films the "Right There" music video with... Big Sean.
October 7, 2013 — Jai finally breaks his silence on the breakup and posts a twitlonger with accusations that Ariana cheated on him with Nathan, he took her back, and she then left him for Nathan anyway. Which is exactly what Luke said.
The next day, Ariana responds (read top to bottom) by saying Jai threatened to expose her if she left him, which could be true..but that doesn't mean what he's exposing is not the truth..
She ends it with "I'm FINALLY happy" okay girl.
Jai responds to her claims saying "I hope you can sleep at night".. and shares a screenshot of their non-threatening last interaction from two days before she and Nathan went public and he was left on read.
October 8, 2013 — Ariana's ex, Jordan is asked about the situation and gives his response.
So that now makes TWO guys who were villianized by Ariana and her friends/family/fans only for them to be like "she literally cheated tho."
What I would say to both Jai and Jordan is "you lose them how you got them"..
October 11, 2013 — Ariana talks about her and Nathan's love story in an interview. There was a spark at first sight in March but nothing happened. She says they started getting close after filming the music video but then backtracks and says it was actually later that month (5 days before her and Jai's breakup)
The next 3 months are full of Nathan and Ariana PDA but I'm skipping to December. On the 15th/16th they seem happy, on the 20th Nathan shuts down breakup rumors. On the 27th, Ariana & Jai refollow eachother on twitter..
And Nariana goes silent until their breakup is confirmed in January…

Part 2
July 1, 2012 — Ariana follows Australian youtuber Jai Brooks back on twitter after seeing his many tweets about crushing on her and Jai responds, calling Ariana his girlfriend. Jordan, her actual boyfriend, is clearly uncomfortable with it. He knew in his gut this wasn't just another fan, this was an attractive guy who wanted her and peaked her interest enough to follow him.
July 12, 2012 — On what would have been their 6 month anniversary, Ariana and Jordan allude to a breakup via twitter. Ariana then posts a picture that looks like she’s been crying which sends a ton of hate Jordan’s way.
July 19, 2012 — Ariana and Jai start tweeting each other about their potential future “wedding”, Jai makes a keek video for Ariana on why she should date him, and she DMs him her number. Jordan also seems to subtweet about it. (they are still broken up at this point)
Ariana and Jai will later retell their love story many times and it always begins with this keek video. In reality, she got back together with her ex boyfriend right after this while she and Jai continued to talk.
July 20, 2012 — Ariana records a cover of Clumsy by Fergie and posts the lyrics to send a message..
“You know, this ain't the first time this has happened to me — This "love sick" thing. I like serious relationships, and, uh, a girl like me don't stay single for long. ‘Cause every time a boyfriend and I break up, my world is crushed, and I'm all alone. The love bug crawls right back up and bites me — And I'm back.”
July 21, 2012 — While on livestream, Ariana is asked if she will marry Jai and she giggles and says "I might! just saying." and Jai tweets about it.
July 29, 2012 — Jordan tweets about Ariana, referencing their Rugrats characters, hinting that they've made up or are back together.
July 31, 2012 — Jordan posts a picture holding Ariana, subtly letting people know they were back together. (There are likes from Ariana on all of Jordan’s posts during the time they were broken up. Could either be in real time or she mass liked them all after they got back together.)
Jai does not tweet about Ariana for all of August but Jordan's tweets are alot happier.
August 5, 2012 — Jordan posts a handwritten message and all of the comments say it's Ariana's handwriting. If you compare it to the handwritten Clumsy lyrics, they do match.

Ariana suddenly stops liking Jordan's instagram posts after August 9th but things seem to be okay between them until his tweets start getting sad again on August 22nd..
August 24, 2012 — Ariana's friend/choreographer adds fuel to the fire.. and Jordan responds in a subtweet.
September 2012 — We get more Jai and Ariana interaction here and there but for the most part it's pretty lowkey. We do know they are frequently texting thanks to this Glozell video. Ariana does an interview describing her recent breakup, causing Jordan to get flooded with hate again for "making her cry".
He responds nicely but clarifies that he was broken up with.
October 6, 2012 — Ariana and Jai have yet to meet but they make it official and start dating long distance.
November 22, 2012 — Ariana and Mac Miller tweet each other for the first time. Mac tells her he'd like to collaborate with her and to check dms. This is when they become friends.
December 17, 2012 — Ariana posts an instagram photo of her and Mac's hands; she also starts writing The Way at this time.
Also on this day, Ariana is blushing and giggling over Mac's texts in the middle of her livestream. He then calls her and says hi to the chat. x

December 12-30, 2012 — Ariana played Snow White in a local stage production. In 2022, Mac's friend DJ Clockwork talks about the time he and Mac went to see her in this play. Clockwork says Mac referred to her as "this girl I'm talking to"..
In 2021, an unreleased song written by Ariana during the Sweetener era was leaked, clearly written for Mac. She mentions "that first December" which is interesting because every December until they officially got together in July 2016, she was in a relationship with someone else. December 2012 would be the first. Meanwhile, she and Jai are still very much together.
December 30, 2012 — Ariana posts a twitlonger recapping her year and mentions the time she was "heartbroken over my backup dancer" and Jordan is done with this narrative. He says Ariana started talking to Jai while they were still together and then she ended things to pursue that relationship.
December 31, 2012 — Jai and Ariana meet in person for the first time and spend the next couple weeks together.

Ariana Grande’s Relationship History
Part 1
Ariana began dating Graham Phillips in 2008 after starring together in the broadway musical "13". They were inseparable throughout 2009 up until October when Ariana started filming Victorious in Los Angeles; meanwhile Graham was filming his own show in New York. They made it work through visits but were primarily long distance in 2010.
December 10, 2009 — Ariana meets Christian Fortune while filming the “Robarazzi” episode of Victorious. He continued to tweet her a few more times and sometimes even got a reply but it’s clear that he hadn’t caught her attention yet.
If that name sounds familiar to you, that’s because back in 2023, a girl named Rikki Valentina went viral on Tiktok for revealing that Christian cheated on her with Ariana in 2010. When she told Ariana that Christian had played them both, Ariana blocked her and allegedly continued to see him anyway. (I reached out to Rikki right after she posted her tiktoks and she kindly provided more details. I will only be posting what I feel can be supported by existing receipts I was able to find. Also disclaimer: I did get approval from Rikki to post these dms but after being bullied off the internet, she has no desire to speak on this any further. This is her truth. Take it or leave it and please keep it respectful.)
According to Rikki’s video (Part 1 and Part 2), sometime after Christian filmed that episode, she noticed his AIM was blowing up and she asked who he was talking to. This is when he told her he had become friends with “the red haired girl from Victorious”. About a month later, she realized they were still AIMing so Rikki asked what she was saying. Christian claimed Ariana asked him what to wear to seduce a 40-year-old man, and this is when Rikki started to feel uncomfortable and suspicious of their conversations. Through dms, Rikki told me she believes this took place during the summer of 2010.
June 2, 2010-December 7, 2010 — Christian went from trying to get Ariana’s attention via twitter, to promoting her covers and asking people to follow her. “Shoutout for shoutout” was a popular social networking tactic to grow followers back in the day. Because Ariana’s twitter is deleted, I can’t see if she did the same for him. But it’s safe to assume they were at least in contact by June. And that would line up with Rikki’s recollection.
Meanwhile, Ariana and Graham Phillips continued to date throughout the summer and into the fall. Their last public outing of 2010 was October 11th but he did go to the Grande’s Christmas party on November 13th. x
November 18, 2010 — Ariana tweets a photo and makes it her Facebook profile picture in honor of the new Harry Potter movie. The very next day, Christian changes his profile picture to match hers. Even though he had broken up with Rikki earlier that week, the matching pictures combined with them posting smiley faces on each other’s Facebook wall, convinced Rikki to log into Christian’s account and check his messages. This is when she allegedly found a bunch of flirty messages between him and Ariana. She claimed they were sending winky faces and sometime in late October Ariana invited Christian for lunch in her Victorious dressing room. Rikki proceeded to message Ariana on Facebook to let her know he had a girlfriend while they were meeting up but claims Ariana blocked her with no reply.
November 23, 2010 — Ariana posts a picture of young Leonardo Dicaprio from Titanic with the caption “:)”
Rikki mentioned in our dms that Ariana’s private Facebook name at the time was Ari Dicaprio and that Christian once claimed Ariana said he looked like a young Leo. So not only is this tweet a reference to Christian but it could explain her attraction to him as well.
December 2, 2010 — Ariana tweets that she’s watching Romeo and Juliet (the Leo DiCaprio version, I’m sure) Two days later, Christian tweets a quote from Romeo and Juliet.
December 6, 2010 — Rikki’s friend tells her that they saw Christian and Ariana together at Jasmine Villegas’ party the night before. Can’t confirm this but here’s proof that they were both there.
December 7, 2010 — Christian confirms he deleted his facebook because “someone got into it” (yeah that would be Rikki lol) x x
December 17, 2010 — Ariana calls Christian in the middle of his youtube video and he blushes while talking to her x
“Hi!”
“Hey, what’s up?”
“Are you making your video?”
“Yup.”
“Did I mess it up?”
“Yup and it’s going in the video.”
December 2010 — They continued to tweet about or extremely similar to each other through out the month. There’s also a rare photo of them video chatting around this time.
February 9, 2011 — Ryan Ochoa tweeted about having dinner with Christian, Ariana and a mutual friend. That mutual friend commented in support of Rikki back in 2023 and also confirmed to me that Ariana and Christian dated.
March 19, 2011 — Graham hints that he and Ariana are back together, confirming they had been broken up, and she comments a smiley face. The orginal poster covered their names for privacy but mentions Ariana was going by a fake last name. We know the alias is Ari Dicaprio, as said earlier by Rikki.
Christian seems to react with some choice lyrics..
March 22, 2011 — Christian tweets a bunch of “fun facts” about himself, mentioning the “girl he has a crush on” seven different times. He says he can’t stop thinking about her, she’s the only person that makes him nervous and she’s the closest friend in his life at the moment. Seems like a desperate, last ditch effort.
March 26, 2011 — Christian has more to say.
March 28, 2011 — Christian shares his final thoughts on Ariana. This matches up with Rikki’s claim that he came back around March and insinuated that Ariana cheated on him.
Ariana and Graham are back full throttle in April and date for the rest of 2011.
We will never know if Ariana actually cheated on Graham with Christian but she may have lead Christian on to get back with Graham. I also don’t blame Ariana for Christian’s actions. Covering the Christian interlude was more about telling Rikki’s story.
The next guy isn’t as easy to dismiss though. Enter: Jordan Viscomi, Ariana's backup dancer in 2011-2012. He gets hired onto her team on May 12, 2011.
May 30, 2011 — Ariana is performing at Myrtle Beach and Jordan is excited over his new boss.
Ariana and Graham are still together at her birthday party in June 2011. Oh and he's there..
August 14, 2011 — One week after Ariana and Graham attend a Katy Perry concert together, Jordan posts his first Instagram picture of Ariana. At the time it seemed like an innocent kiss between friends — well, coworkers. But they're together by December. It has to start somewhere..
November 28, 2011 — Fast forward to the holidays, Ariana and Graham have dinner.
December 5, 2011 — Jordan posts this photo alluding that either he and Ariana spent Thanksgiving together orrr she hosted a belated get together for her team. This time he’s kissing her cheek.
December 7, 2011 — Ariana and Graham walk the red carpet together for an event but break up later that month, seemingly because he was going off to college. Clearly they are on good terms because she sends him Princeton cookies in support.
December 25, 2011 — Ariana spends Christmas with friends, including Jordan. They each post a photo together to Instagram. The cheek kisses are visibly more intimate now.
December 28, 2011 — Ariana performs a demo of Honeymoon Avenue for the first time. She later told Cosmopolitan in 2013: "Honeymoon Avenue was written about a very confusing relationship that I stayed in for all the wrong reasons." She continued: "I was so incredibly sad while I was with this person. I'm a happy girl — I love laughing. But I don't remember smiling once when I was with him."
January 2012 — We start off the year strong with Jordan posting Ariana to instagram, captioned with a heart. And by the 12th, it seems that they've made it official judging by their cryptic tweets.
February 2012 — They really begin to launch their relationship. Ariana sitting on his lap, getting piggy back rides at Disney, wearing his sweater, and Jordan tweeting that she is "da one"..
March-June 2012 — They continued to date for about 6 months, often referencing each other with things such as: hats, pins, hair bows, and chuckie & tommy from rugrats.
She was also frequently posting about a new song (unreleased at the time) “Daydreamin'" So she either wrote it about Jordan or strongly associated it with him. She teases the title for the first time in December 2011.
June 25, 2012 — Jordan attends Ariana’s birthday party and it seems like all is well
