Lithuanian producer, Deep Shoq, has been one of the partial fixtures on the DTW roster, whose sound has developed into the advent style of Darker Than Wax. With considerable support from heavyweights, his previous notable release, Arrows EP, lauded him as a favourite up and coming producer. It has been validated by the likes of Mixmag Bass charts, and was also featured on King Britt’s BBC Radio 1 guest mix for Benji B. Krystallise’ EP is a rhythmic up-tempo release which demonstrates his deft dexterity in the realm of experimental garage. Broken, half-time beats backed by atmospheric synths, rave stabs and haunting, reverb vocal snippets; never have such disparate elements unite together so harmoniously.
