"Lycanthrope & Other Canine-Related Creatures", you uttered quietly the title of the large book in your hand. You already had 3 other books in your other arm, and it felt like you could give out at any moment if you stopped to get one more book, so you settled on just 4 to read for the month. You turned around to start heading to the checkout, but it was so silent, you didn't notice until you bumped into someone tall, and knocked over the books you were carrying.

"O-Oh, crap, I didn't mean to-"

"Relax." He chuckled. "Sorry for startling you, let me help."

The tall man crouched down to pick up the books and hand them back, before he noticed one of them that made his eyes light up.

"Huh… 'Lycanthrope & Other Canine-Related Creatures', I've read this one before…"

He paused, then after a moment, he gave it back to you quickly. The light in his eyes were bright, but the rest of his face gave something dark when he saw you holding the book.

"You know, I see you here at least once a month, and you always pick out some of the strangest stuff, most of them dealing with nature, other animals… and things like this. You must be touching grass way too much."

The man teased lightly, and you laughed. "N…No, not really. I just get curious about wildlife and… the unnatural, the p-paranormal." You clarified, but this man walked a bit closer to you, his presence seemed intimidating, as if he knew something about you, but his face was still warm.

"You sure it isn't anything else…? Curiosity killed the cat, that's what some people say."

His face was inches close to yours, but he gave you a small smirk.

"You should stay home when you leave… little deer."

That made your eyes widen, and you quickly brushed him off, and checked your books out. Once all of that was done, you settled back home, and finally unsheathed your small antlers after a long day. The interaction with this man made you even more curious. Once you sat on your couch, you grabbed the Lycanthrope book and began reading in no time.

The pages were detailed with pictures of werewolves, and their subspecies, defining all of their ways of life and survival. One page caught your eyes the most; Wolf Hybrids.

"Wolf Hybrids are generally considered one of the more tame species of lycanthropy, a mix of human and wolf. Their scenting capabilities makes it easy for them to track other scents of fellow pack members, food sources, but more importantly, their potential mates. While these hybrids do not typically hunt in the wild for food as they are accustomed to consuming human food, they are predatory when it comes to finding a mate, and are more willing to mate with another hybrid than with an ordinary human. It is still likewise most logical to stay away from deep forests to avoid interaction with wolf hybrids."

The summary alone made your small deer tail stand up, but it nibbled at your mind. If there was another hybrid that existed, then you'd be more likely to get along with them. Humans never really were on par with them, so why not give this a chance?

You waited a few hours for nighttime to arrive, and ushered out of the city limits, and towards the wilderness. Your true self was revealed, your antlers and tail out, but everyone was asleep. You took a deep breath in, and slowly walked into the dark embrace of the forest. The sounds of nature welcoming you, saying hello. It felt calm, the breeze in the spring was nice and cool, and you let it glide through your hair. But once you were fully immersed into the deeper strand of the forest, that's when you heard a familiar voice.

"Little deer…"

You shook your head, brushing it off as the sound of the wind. You continued cautiously, but immediately froze when you heard it again, louder this time. "I see you..... 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘳." That's what you kept hearing, over and over. The deeper you treaded into the forest, the more loud the whispers and growls grew. Like an animal that found it's prey, he was stalking you, waiting for the moment, and although your mind wanted to run, your body had betrayed you. And at last, in almost no time further wasted... "𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘳~…"

He pounced onto you, pinning you down on the ground with a soft manner. "I told you, you should have stayed home, but you just couldn't help it, could you?" He chuckled, giving a toothy smirk. Your mind kept racing, and your heart had never beat so fast in your life. You felt doomed for sure, but the sudden and quick feeling of this man's lips onto yours reassured you. You were not food. "I'm Nicholas, by the way, sorry for not introducing myself sooner." His face was already soft once again after kissing you, and he smiled. "Y/N", you replied nervously. "Relax, I ain't gonna eat you, if that's what you're worried about." Nicholas assured you, his left hand playing with your hair, while his right hand was caressing your face. "Your doe-like expressions gave yourself away for me. I haven't found the one deer I've needed... until tonight." You blushed at Nicholas's explanation, and you remembered the page in the book. "Y...Y-You're a hybrid, too?" You asked, and you saw Nicholas's wolf tail and ears sticking out. "Of course, Y/N. Y'know, you're really cute when you're all blushing and flustered like that, nervous even when you hide those antlers of yours in public." He nuzzled his nose into your neck, his eyes slowly dimming to a more lustful expression. "You don't have to hide anymore, little deer. I've wanted you for a long time, wanted to be with you. If you'll let me, I want you to be my mate..." Nicholas confessed, his eyes never looked away from you, they only stared deeper into you, asking for permission, for love, for partnership. The deep confession made you warm up a smile, hooking your arms around him. Your stomach formed butterflies, and it never made you feel more alive than ever before. "Y-Yes... please, Nicholas!... I don't want to be alone anymore. As long as I'm with you, I'm not a-afraid of hiding who I am." You replied, and let him kiss you deeply and passionately. Nicholas never let you go, and held you close. "Thank you so much, Y/N... but I can't wait any longer. I want you, need you... so bad..." Nicholas kept showering you with deep kisses along your face and neck, but the lust was growing inside of him, and you were ready for it. "Please... let me hunt you down, little deer~~~....."
