Me: I can't be autistic. Having ADHD is enough!
Also me:
- known to be extremely shy and introverted in the beginning but becoming a full on monster once familiar
- if I like a movie, I watch it 10 times over and then research every single thing about it. Then watch it 50 times more. Buy merch, make sketches, watch video essays, review videos, reaction videos and then info dump about it any chance given (or not given)
- starts rocking involuntarily when immersed into something. Happy dances and stimming every so often.
- can't remember a person I've shared a class with for years on end. But show a random screenshot from a movie I watched a decade ago and I can visualise the scene, name the movie, actors and the plot immediately. (sometimes even if I haven't watched the movie)
- says something literal that has people laughing and stands there chuckling awkwardly not knowing what they found so funny
- gots to step on a fallen leaf. Crunchier the better!
- forgets to drink water for an entire day. Even when the bottle is right there but JUST outside my field of vision
- gets overwhelmed by social interactions and runs from it but cries about being lonely
- gets awkward when even a family member or a close friend hugs me.
- has built an extensive vocabulary but gets nervous while talking, sometime stopping mid sentence and just leaving the conversation altogether.
- collects shoes, clothes, key chains, action figures, movies, photographs, etc.
- gots to pluck a leaf everytime I pass a low hanging branch of a tree
- repeats a phrase from a movie or TV show in normal conversation...without even realising it.
- has a LOT of sensory issues.
- so much trauma and info dumping in conversations with a potential new friend. Like just STOP!
- extremely naive and trusting, has a strong sense of justice and takes rule following to new heights
- couldn't talk to guys. Still find it difficult and avoid it.
- contemplating whether or not to share this post......
