Defend the Bren!
Last Friday, the UCI men's volleyball team competed against Brigham Young University (BYU). This was my first time going to a UCI sporting event in a long time, and it was worth it. It's free for undergrads - so that is an added bonus! Also, it's a great way to show school pride and and spend time with friends. A lot of UCI students attended this game so there was a lot of positive energy in the air. I could see a sea of navy and yellow cheering in support of UCI.

The competition was pretty fierce though, a lot of BYU supporters came out that night. The teams fought hard. There were many moments I was on the edge of my seat because of the intensity of the game. It was all new to me since the only volleyball I had ever seen was on the Olympics (and I do not know too much about sports in general). But I had fun, and the game was entertaining.
UCI serving it up!
UCI lost to BYU 3-2, and it was a great game even if we didn't win. I'm excited about going to my next game though!
