Space Lawyers?? (Clay & Phoenix)
Flicking the badge he'd managed to scrape up in the storage room now pinned proudly to his space jacket, Clay had to admit it...definitely wasn't as much like an attorney's badge as he might have liked it to be. Rather, it was a star-shaped badge like the kinds that sherrifs used to wear, but hey space-related things were really cool so he certainly wasn't complaining! Now that he had this badge on, he felt like he could actually keep the promise of observing 'evidence' in trials and using them to help people reach the truth instead of them just pointing fingers and blaming folk with no grounds!
Yes; that badge made all the difference, and for once since the horrible trial he felt like he could smile just as cheerfully as he was used to doing. "I...I'm gonna do it, Apollo! Just you watch and see from the stars! I'll make so many truths clear that even you up in the stars will see them! We'll be FINE!" He still felt...a little lonely, yes, he wasn't going to lie about that, or missing Apollo a lot.
However, knowing he'd taken a big step to keeping his promise was enough to encourage his strength, his positivity back into something of it's old energy where he'd just been 'trying his best' to smile before. Sniffling and fighting the urge to start crying about it, the blue-clad space enthusiast darted out of his room on putting the badge on his jacket like a space comet - only to almost barge into someone else in the hallway.
"...Oh noo! I didn't mean to almost bowl ya over like that, sorry!" Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, he blinked a moment at actually taking a close inspection of the other. He looked really familiar somehow...
"Your jacket's really cool! Blue's my favourite colour, too!"
However, for now, that vague sense of familiarity was set aside for Clay's enthusiasm, as usual. He could try and recall just how this other seemed so gosh darn familiar after the compliment in cool jacket wear, yes.
