OC Day D - Star Wars Day

In honor of may the fourth being star wars day, here are my may 4 characters for oc days as what they would be in the star wars universe.

Daal: rebel pilot squad leader

Deffen: rebel pilot

Del & Di: jedi younglings, use two short green lightsabers each and work as a team/single unit

Deldan: jedi, green lightsaber

Dellar: jedi padawan, green lightsaber

Den: force sensitive who found a lightsaber and started using it

Digits: rebel tech genius

Dol & Dolle: rebel kids who live on some rebel base or something and run around being kids

Wings of the Blue Gull

For OC Day D - Character: Deffen

(This is something I wrote way back in 2014)

Deffen was a man, born with his feet in the sand and the wind in his hair. The first time he had stepped onto the gangway and boarded a ship, the sea had taken him for a groom. It had been a fishing vessel, one that trolled the waters just off the coast, but it had been enough, the seawater had replaced his blood.

    That had been years ago though, before he had been drafted onto a Trader ship and had the compass hung around his neck.

    His hands were calloused from years of pulling lines, although the rest of his skin had yet to turn to leather the way the older Traders’ had from a life of weathering storms and the sun. He was as much a Trader as anyone born on the waves, and he had the scars from defending his cargo to prove it. There was nothing he would trade for his life on the waves.

    When the wind blew strong to fill their sails, when the sea was calm, and only the horizon kept him company, those times, the memory of the gull’s cry was mournful and the wings of the albatross were weary.

    They called him Blue Gull. The first from the blue thread he had used to patch the tears in his clothes, and there were many of those. The second because he kept the coastline in his sights, and when he perched on the masts, between the rigging and the sails, he was always looking back for the harbor.

    Deffen grew up from the young homesick boy, and left behind the shoreline that had earned him the name, but it stuck. He had embraced it, eventually.

    The tattoo was worse than a sunburn, despite what the men told him, but he said nothing. The gull with blue tipped wings inked onto his back was his name, and the first steps to home.

OC Day D - Deffen of the Blue Wings

He was born on the coast and raised in a fishing village, but felt the call of the sea too strongly to remain on land. He is known as the Blue Wings because of the blue gull wings tattooed onto his back.

A historical character and never actually written

He’s autistic

Has a special interest in sailing and also knots!
