So the kid had a point, but Leslie had never actually HEARD anyone say anything about his name before, question it even ONCE. Sure, people probably had, but just not in his presence.

@defiantassistant responded: This was one of those situations when Chadley had to think of what a normal kid his age would say to avoid attracting too much attention but had to do so quickly to avoid being looked at like a fool. “Youthful rebellion.” Was the answer he came up with, half-smiling with pride. “Though if its danger you’re worried about I assure you I can handle myself.”

Leslie couldn't contain the SCOFF that left him as he turned his head briefly, facing away from the child before turning and looking back at him. Golden eyes were focused on the young boy, as he folded his arms across his chest, shifting his weight to favor his left leg.
