Defiant Water and Lively Ice
The evening was hot, and there wasn't a lot of cover. A dragon slayer was walking through a large field while on her way to a town that wasn't too far away. She and a small gray exceed had been wandering around this area of Fiore for a few weeks now. There had been possible sightings of a dragon in the area, but it was just another rumor. There was no sign that a dragon was anywhere near here. The area was too open, there was no scent of one, and it was too hot for one. At least, for the particular dragon that Kayla was looking for.
Shadow had already fallen asleep, curled up in his friend's arms. They both were getting heat exhaustion, the woman having decided it not best to waste her magical energy by producing an air of ice around the two. As the sun started to set, and the scents of food wafting from a town grew more pronounced, Kayla noticed a new scent. One of another mage's. He looked over at her and she grew immediately curious and jogged over to walk next to him. They both seemed to have the idea of heading to this town. "Hello there," she greeted with a friendly smile.
