IGillian's 'defining it', so well worded. Cant get past the 'intimacy that only exists there' 'in that particular way'. Intimacy is such an intimate word! And can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that she said they have a connection that isn't just specific to the show/acting but just them as Human Beings (compared to DDs 08 "acting chemistry" shpeel). It's a nice change of pace. Ever evolving, these two! I'm sure David agrees. They speak for each other at this point now, right?
"Intimacy" is indeed an intimate word, though, paying heed to good exegetical methodology, I should point out that Gillian uses it often, both in strictly Davidic contexts and otherwise.
I keep coming back to the novelty of this idea that they have something in their relationship that does not solely have its origin in their unwillingly shared trauma that was the show; I was under the impression that the formula we were working with was "soulmates without an interest in each other as people," not "two human beings with a connection" -- frankly, it's not something I was prepared to hear articulated by either subject in such a solemn way, and has opened up room for considerable revision to the received view.
