Curly Prosthetic Wig Styling and DeFrizzing
Okay, so I have this blonde, long, curly, prosthetic wig with gorgeous bangs.
I got it as a fluke from eBay. It was supposed to be silver. I'm over it, though, because they let me keep the wig, AND gave me a refund. It's all good there.
The problem: Styling this friggin' thing is a pain in the ass. The curls. God, the CURLS. I left it alone for a while, just combing through it with my fingers. Y'know, following all the directions on curly, prosthetic wigs that I've ever been given in my entire life. I gave up tonight, though. It pissed me off.
So I took to the internet, and found a brilliant woman. She's my new wig HERO. So, praying to the wig gods, I ran around my house, grabbing a curling iron, leave-in conditioner, a spray bottle, and my wig brush.
SUCCESS. It looks gorgeous, after nearly two hours of hoping, nearly crying, and almost ruining my wig. It's been so traumatic. I'm going back to my other wigs. The ones that don't really need to be styled for than once or twice.
This one? I have to style it EVERY SINGLE TIME that I wear it. It's awful, but I can't bear the thought of getting rid of it. The wig was just so frizzy this time... It's so much thinner after my original attempts... Luckily, it was already a really thick wig (like, abnormally so). Now, it's closer to my other longer wigs. Still quite a bit of hair, but not so much that it weighs me down.
Thanks for reading my rant.
