‘oh  but  DEWEY,  it’s  a  pie.  i  don’t  think  blood  and  sweat  would  taste  good  with  it.’ now  she’s  very  much  aware  of  the  expression  of  speech,  however  logic  was  forced  to  thrown  out  of  the  window  and  in  came  the  doubts  when  she  saw  the  state  her  kitchen  was  left  in  after  one  of  the  duckburg  triplets  borrowed  it.

there  was  laughter  in  the  air  as  puffs  of  white  flour  descended  down  on  them  like  magic  dust  –  without  the  magical  powers  or  the  ability  to  clean  itself  up.  ‘but  i  am  sure  you’ve  tried  your  best  and  it  will taste  DELICIOUS.  are  you  planning  to  give  it  to  your  uncle?’

the  sentence  left  heisuke’s  lips  curtly,  sharply,  somberly.  the  moment  those  syllables  fell  from  his  lips  and  touched  the  air  between  them,  everything  changed.  it  seemed  heavier  and  it  pressed  down  upon  her,  not  leaving  any  space  for  her  to  breathe  and  squeeze  out  whatever  air  was  left  within  the  cavities  of  her  lungs.  ‘oh  but  sir,  you  can’t  possibly–’  she  started  to  say  with  a  forced  smile  but  bit  her  tongue  and  swallow  her  words.  oh  but  he  COULD,  he  very  well  could.  

the  man  had  carried  with  him  an  easy-going  cheerfulness but  snow  had  also  seen  him  cut  a  man  down  in  half  without  blinking  an  eye,  and  oh  the  coldness  in  his  eyes.  so  if  he  WANTED  them  dead,  he  could  very  well  mean  in  it  every  way  and  in  a very  literal  meaning.  ‘well  i  suppose  you  could,  but  i’d  much  rather  you  not.  that’d  be  more  blood  on  your  hands.’  her  words  trailed  and  once  again  left  an  oppressive  silence  in  the  room  as  she  bit  down  on  those  ruby  reds  and  stared  down  at  her  hand.
