Indian DEG prices
DEG prices moved lower again this week, falling Rs 0.75/kg and settling at Rs 84.00/kg in the domestic market. The latest decline continues the recent softening trend after strong gains recorded earlier in the quarter. Indian DEG prices have now dropped Rs 1.75/kg over the past fortnight, reflecting reduced buying momentum and adjustments in trading positions. Market participants are closely watching whether current levels can stabilize after the recent correction from the yearly high near Rs 94.00/kg.
The broader trend still reflects significant recovery compared to earlier market lows. Over the last three months, DEG has gained Rs 35.75/kg, while the six-month comparison shows prices rising from Rs 56.00/kg to current levels. Indian DEG prices continue to trade well above the yearly low of Rs 41.25/kg despite recent pressure. Current DEG prices in India remain positioned near key support around Rs 79.50/kg, while resistance is visible close to Rs 84.00/kg. The monthly trend has weakened, however, with prices falling Rs 6.50/kg over the last month as traders reassess procurement coverage and monitor broader chemical demand patterns across the domestic market, DEG Prices, Diethylene Glycol, Chemical Market, Market Correction, Petrochemicals, Commodity Trading.
