i guess a lot of people related to that post i made but in all honesty if dear evan hansen wins, i’m gonna riot. it’s an objectively mediocre musical with songs with superficial, repeated lyrics, a messy plot that capitalizes on teenage mental illness, etc. tbh just give come from away or something the award so the rest of us can all shut up.
#great comet isn't for everyone i mean it's definitely out there or whatever you want to say#but it brings something new to musical theatre. it's original#deh?#it's not#and i'm not trying to be elitist like not everything has to be objectively good to be enjoyable#but deh has a lot of problems and a huge hype that i don't get
