The stay at the hospital, though relatively brief, was starting to drive Emilia a little crazy. Cassidy had been kind enough to drop off paperwork for her, mindless cases that could use some attention to keep her preoccupied... though there was only so much to do once she’d breezed through them all. Luckily, it was her last day in. Bag packed and pain medication tucked away, Emilia looked down at her phone. Someone is going to be there to take you home. Keep me posted. Love you. The message from her mom came earlier in the morning, with Emilia expecting someone along the likes of Alex or her Uncle to meet her in the lobby. There were a million questions still running through her mind, unanswered and unaccounted for. Family and doctors told her to take it slow, but that was much easier said than done for Emilia. With a mind that resembled something of a mess, she took one last look at the room and promptly followed the nurse towards the elevators.
She gave the woman a brief hug, wincing ever so slightly at the movement before the expanse of the lobby met her eyes. Being on her feet was still proving to be a bit tiring. The cracked rib set a sharp pain down her side with every breath, and a collection of cuts and bruises didn’t fair much better. Emilia let out a breath, looking down at her phone for any more clues of who she was waiting on. Maybe she’d missed something? Taking a few steps into the area, she spotted a familiar face... much to her surprise. Deiter. “Hey, is everything alright? Why are you her-” Oh. Their most recent conversation came to the forefront of her mind, Emilia raising an eyebrow at the man in front of her. Of course.
