Deity tip: Dedicate jewelry to your deity.

I have a necklace dedicated to the Morrigan and as of late I haven't been able to practice my craft as much as I would like and I haven't been able to dedicate much time to my deities. So what I've been doing is putting on that necklace when I go out and inviting her to accompany me on my ventures.

Sometimes I feel like she's there, others not so much. Either way, the invitation is extended and she knows I'm still thinking of her every day.

Deity Tip

You may see people post about offerings, but did you know that even your actions can be offerings?

Saying words of praise to the deity or being(s) that you’re offering to is great! Especially if you make a poem or song, though it’s not necessary!

Working out can be a wonderful devotional act for deities that reign over strength or fitness (or war/battle--looking at you, Badb, Ares, Athena, Tyr and many more).

Tending to your plants or garden is a good idea for plant spirits or deities involved in agriculture or plant-life in general.

Look at what the deity/spirit reigns over or likes and think about actions you can take involving those!

Deity Tip

You don't have to wait for a deity to call out to you or send you signs.

You can call out to them first.

Sorta like job interviews, yeah?

Sometimes the job contacts you first and that's all well and good.

Other times you have to be the one to send in your resume and show initiative. You have to show that you're willing to work.

Same could be said for deities (other entities as well, I'm sure).

There’s a pin back button of a Batman symbol that a little girl made for me at work on my Morrigan altar.

There’s a cinnamon lollipop that I got on my first date with the love of my life on my Lugh altar.

There are small sprigs of pine needles wrapped in gold wire that my partner made for my deities on both altars.

Offerings don’t need a specific meaning, they don’t need to be expensive or traditional.

A simple “I thought you’d enjoy this” is good enough sometimes.
