Calendor

Within the Tanglewood resides a great deity of nature & fertility. It is said that he has a soft spot for non-deities, helping those lost in the woods and those in need of a safe place. As his temple became more known, those with a child wish started travelling to it - legend has it he can grant anyone that wish.

He is an old deity, some say as old as the tanglewood itself.

Like most deities, he can shift between different shapes. He tends to choose the tall one seen above, but he has a more fierce form as well.

He enjoys the company of his worshippers and takes pride in fulfilling their wishes if he can.

Those with child and those who want it are granted refuge at his temple.

He does not play favorites, but a certain human that cannot bear children has caught his interest more than most.

He is currently granting her shelter and an open ear (her parents wish for grandkids, hence they sent her to him. But she does not want to be a mother.)

Equinox

Hidden from most beneath the earth of the tanglewood lay a sleeping deity. Asleep for so long that none remember his existence, except for those old enough to be around - such as Calendor, his old rival, and part of the reason for his slumber. Centuries later, power hungry people try to rouse him for their plans. Oh, how unfortunate for the young elf whom he first laid eyes on after such a long time...

Awoken in a world he does not quite remember after being sealed by ancient magic.

Instead of trusting those who wished to resurrect him for their plans, he formed a fragile bond with a young tanglewood elf named Ashana.

She was the one that managed to rouse him with her magical research. She had no idea what she unleashed.

He could sense she was different than the others, did not want to use him. So afraid, so reverent. So curious about him.

So, he chose to keep her, getting rid of all the foul humans with thoughts of using him. No, he would never bow to anyone.

Equinox, an ancient deity that has been bound by runes and old spells for centuries, is freed by an elven magic researcher.

As far as he is concerned; Sulgha is not cruel. He was meant to be a god, raised a deity. He is bigger than anyone, stronger than anyone. His will is law, and he gets whatever he craves. So why does her fearful gaze hold pity?

Part of a species somewhat alike night elves / demons

His kind lives a very cruel and bloody life, thriving in battle and participating in questionable rituals

One such ritual is that they create their own deity from one of their kin...by feeding a chosen one their own (and thus their power) amongst other things

Over years and years, this turned him into a giant abomination. the faces that appear below his skin are said to be souls of the deceased inside of him.

He cannot quite remember his mother's face. It is possible she perished at his hands without him ever knowing.

He has no need for useless feelings, they need a monsterous and heartless deity to intimidate other deities and their followers.

Due to flying enemies going for his eye a lot, he tends to wear protection over it.
