I went to a show tonight (the second one this week) & I had some realizations that I've got some mixed feelings about.

Everyone who wears glasses have the same 1 of 3 sets of frames.

Anyone wearing a hat is either wearing a beanie or a snapback. (mostly beanies though)

95% of the girls have a nose ring (septum or nostril, but septum seems to be more popular)

90% of the crowd is wearing a flannel

If a girl has long hair, she's most likely got bangs. If she's got short hair, it's either a pixie cut or shaved/partly shaved. Any of them with dyed hair have their hair dyed shades of blue, green, or blonde, maybe pink.

97-98% are smokers

After noticing all of these things, I had two very opposite reactions. On one hand, what a fucking way to feel like part of a community. You're surrounded by people who aesthetically like similar things to you, like the same music you do, and you can all dance & sing together and be really happy about it. On the other hand, it just reaffirms that absolutely nothing and nobody is unique. We're all just carbon copies of the fucking scene and it makes me really sad to think about.
