As silly as this is, I did enjoy thinking how each guy would react to wearing that skirt. I hope that Mikhail is in character with his reaction.

pot and kettle Lore™ under cut bc i have spent the past two days thinking about them instead of paying attention in my online classes

- they were both humans who died and went to hell on technicalities/minor charges

- both became very low-level demons because of this, the kind that you can summon to do a menial task for you in exchange for like. lamb's blood or a dead dove

- (it's not about the blood or the dove not really it's about the stain killing an innocent creature for selfish reasons leaves on your soul so every time you do it hell's claim on you becomes stronger)

- anyway they eventually figured out how to break their thralls to hell and no one really cared enough to try to track them down. they still try to keep inconspicuous though

- since they broke their connection to hell there's some demon things they can't do but they can still shapeshift to some extent, fly and teleport, perform minor miraculous feats. they do have to eat and sleep but not as much as regular humans

- no matter how hard they try to shapeshift it away there will always be black stains on at least the tips of their fingers

- they're still harmed/repelled by some things that will hurt a real demon like holy water

- they don't age and their hair/nails don't grow

- pot's original name was [something] potts

- kettle's original name was actually kettle

- kettle was younger than pot when he died but lived about a century earlier, in the 1600s in southern europe; he was a farmer's son who stayed with his family his whole life

- kettle is ace and pot is one of them he/theys

- pot lived during the mid-1700s in england

- pot usually comes off as prickly but they're actually just very shy and will be extremely polite if he doesn't know someone well and also doesn't physically express emotions very much

- they're known in the village near the church as "that nice couple that must live somewhere around because they visit almost every week but no one knows where they came from or where they're staying"

- idk how altair meets pot and kettle but she's an exiled angel

- pot and kettle accidentally adopted several hundred assorted birds from the general vicinity of the cathedral because they fed a few one day and they just Kept Coming Back and bringing friends

- the sleeveless tailcoat/breeches i drew them in the first time were sort of a generic demon uniform, when they get to choose pot usually goes with an outfit that's somewhere between dark academia and grandmacore, kettle dresses more casually
