i wonder why none of the subjects have voiced any doubts yet about whether or not brent belongs in the good place. like everyone’s clearly annoyed with him and thinks he’s not a good person, but no one’s wondered aloud why he was deemed good enough to be in the good place. i get that maybe chidi’s too polite (and also wouldn’t want any potential investigation into mistakes to lead toward jason) but you’d think gossip-loving john and say-it-like-it-is simone would say something. ESPECIALLY simone. she wouldn’t be afraid to barge into eleanor’s office after he said the 10th casually racist thing to her that week like “yo, god, i think you forked up with this one.”

I love how Friends exists in the Good Place universe and yet no one noticed Hypatia looks just like Lisa Kudrow.

i really hope that when chidi gets his memories back he gets ALL of them back, along with the rest of team cockroach. at the very least i want their memories from the first attempt and whatever attempt the majority of season 2 was restored. i don’t like the idea of them permanently only keeping their memories of each other since returning to earth. especially chidi and eleanor because their relationship development last season was so rushed and lacked all of the natural progression of previous attempts. i really don’t want everything they’ve been through together before that to be gone forever.

you guys ever think about how the second janet met judge gen she could have asked to be sent back to the good place and wouldn’t have had to be roped in with a demon and a bunch of bad place humans anymore if she didn’t want to? like the only reason she’s a part of team cockroach is because michael kidnapped her from the good janet void. she shouldn’t have had anything to do with this and probably would have been granted permission to return to the good place if she’d asked. but instead she chose to stick with her demon bff and bad place human friends/boyfriend.

this could contribute to the theory that janet has a bigger purpose in all this than it currently seems, but i like the idea that she is choosing to stick with her friends just because she’d rather be in the bad place with them than in the good place without them. ride or die!
