The love story I desire

I hate romance movies… They fill me with jealousy. They fill my heart with high hopes, and unrealistic standards. They make me crave a magical love. A love so fantastic, so spectacular that no movie or story can compare to it. A love made up of late night star gazing on a roof or in a nearby park, dates to small cafes, hand holding, and laughter.

From memories of dancing in the middle of walkways as street musicians play there songs, of singing sweet lyrics to one another, or cooking meals together, to sharing blankets and exchanging deep thoughts. A love where the air we breath is like a drug that draws us even closer every inhale and exhale. Where every touch and kiss sparks up fireworks- no lightning- for its so powerful and scary but ever so gorgeous. A love as strong as an addiction.

But romance like those are very hard to find, in fact I’m convinced they don’t exist…Because the love I desire only resides in fiction and story is just a story and isn’t part of my reality as of right now..
